UPTET 2025: UPTET 2025 (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) is a state-level exam conducted annually to determine eligibility for teaching Classes 1–8 in Uttar Pradesh schools. The exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 for the primary level (Classes 1–5) and Paper 2 for the upper primary level (Classes 6–8), each containing 150 multiple-choice questions and without negative marking.

UPTET 2025 is a much-awaited exam for teaching job aspirants. UPBEB has announced the exam dates of UPTET 2025 and TGT, PGT also. Eligibility requires Indian citizenship, UPTET educational qualifications, and an age between 18–35 years (general category), with relaxations for reserved groups. There are different educational requirements for primary (Classes 1–5) and upper primary (Classes 6–8) teachers, and there is no limit on the number of attempts.

UPTET 2025 exam will be held on 29 and 30 January, 2026. This announcement has been released by the conducting authority on 1 August 2025. The official notice also mentions that the UP TGT will be held on 18 and 19 December 2025, and the UP PGT will be held on 15 and 16 October 2025. Candidates should start their preparation according to the exam dates announced to score good marks in the examination.

The qualifying marks for UPTET 2025 are as follows:
General and OBC candidates: 60% (90 marks out of 150)
SC/ST and other reserved category candidates: 55% (82 marks out of 150)
Candidates who score equal to or more than these minimum marks are considered qualified for the UPTET exam and are awarded the eligibility certificate. This cutoff is the same for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 since both carry 150 marks each. There is no negative marking in the exam.
