TS SET Eligibility 2024 : The Telangana State Eligibility Test (TS SET) is a state-level eligibility test conducted by the Osmania University, Hyderabad, on behalf of the Government of Telangana, for the award of eligibility certificate to the candidates who have completed their Post-Graduation (PG) degree in various subjects. To be eligible to appear for TS SET 2024, a candidate must possess a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) from a recognized University/Institution.  TS ET exam is open to all candidates who have completed their PG degree in any of the subjects offered by the TS SET. Candidates must go through the TG SET Eligibility 2024 to confirm their eligibility for the TS SET 2024 exam.

TS SET Educational Qualification 2024

• General/Unreserved/General-EWS Candidates : Should have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination. Eligible degrees include M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA, and M.Tech (CSE & IT only).
• Backward Classes (BC)/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Disability (PwD) Candidates : Must have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in their Master’s Degree.
• Final Year Students and Candidates Awaiting Results : Candidates currently pursuing their Master’s Degree or those who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination but are yet to receive their results can also apply. However, they will be admitted provisionally. These candidates must secure the required percentage of marks within two years from the date of the SET result to be eligible for Assistant Professor/Lecturer positions.
• Transgender Candidates : Candidates belonging to the third gender (transgender) will receive the same relaxations in fee, age, and qualifying criteria as available to SC/ST/PwD candidates.
• Ph.D. Degree Holders : Candidates who completed their Master’s level examination by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of the date of result declaration) are eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks, i.e., from 55% to 50%.
• Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post-Graduation only.

• Candidates are not required to send any certificates/documents to support their eligibility nor a printout of their Application Form (Confirmation Page) to the TS-SET office. However, qualified candidates must show their original certificates at the stage of certificate verification. Failure to meet the eligibility criteria at any stage will result in the cancellation of candidature and possible legal action.
• Candidates with Post-Graduate Diplomas awarded by Indian Universities/Institutes or Foreign Degrees/Diplomas awarded by Foreign Universities/Institutes should verify the equivalence of their degree/diploma with the Master’s Degree of recognized Indian universities through the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi (www.aiu.ac.in).
