Various ministries, local bodies, and Anganwadi Centers will join hands to promote nutrition in communities.

These initiatives are meant to educate communities, especially mothers, children, and adolescent girls.

The seventh edition of Poshan Pakhwada is being organized as a nationwide campaign as part of the Government of India's ongoing efforts to combat malnutrition and promote healthy lifestyles. The 7th Poshan Pakhwada 2025 takes an outcome-oriented approach with activities like:

Also, the data collected will feed into policy-making, ensuring that support and resources are allocated where they are most needed.
The Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) Protocol is another crucial tool in the Poshan Pakhwada initiative. Launched in October 2023, by the Ministry of Women and Child Development it equips Anganwadi Workers with the tools they need to detect, refer, and treat malnourished children effectively.
The CMAM protocol aims to transform every Anganwadi center into a frontline nutrition clinic. Daily checks, routine dietary assessments, and timely referrals can significantly enhance the nutritional status of children in local communities.
