• Basic Eligibility: Candidates must not be less than 21 years old as of 1st August 2024. This translates to a birth date, not after 1st August 2003 to apply for the IFS exam.
• Relaxation Claim : Candidates should ensure that they have all valid documents ready with them at the time of application to claim age relaxation.
• Cumulative Age Relaxation: Candidates eligible for age relaxation under more than one category (e.g., an SC candidate with a disability) will be eligible for cumulative age relaxation under both categories.
• Proof of Age: The date of birth accepted by the Commission is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a certificate recognized by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation. This means candidates must ensure their date of birth is accurately recorded and officially documented before applying.
• Non-changeable Date of Birth: Once a date of birth has been submitted by the candidate in the application form and entered in the records of the Commission, no change will be allowed in later stages. Hence, candidates should be very careful while filling out their application forms.
