CA Exam Form Correction Window 2025: The ICAI has recently announced the correction window dates for CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final exam forms for the May 2025 exams. Candidates will have the opportunity to make changes to their chosen examination city, group, and medium through their ICAI accounts.

For the CA exams, the correction window has been opened from March 18, 2025, to March 20, 2025. It's important to note that only these specific fields, examination city, group, and medium, can be edited during the correction window. No other details in the CA exam form are editable.

Prospective Chartered Accountancy (CA) candidates are advised to be cautious when providing details on their exam forms. In the event of an error being identified after submitting the form, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) allows candidates to rectify it during a specific CA Exam Form correction window. It's important to understand that changes are generally limited to:
  1. Selected city
  2. Chosen group
  3. Preferred medium
  4. Syllabus selection
In simpler terms, modifications made during this window won't incur additional charges or result in a refund of previously paid exam fees. The correction window has been available since the May 2015 attempt for candidates at all levels, including Foundation, Intermediate, and Final stages.

Steps for CA Exam Form Correction 2025

Applicants are encouraged to consider the time spent when modifying their application forms carefully. Here are the step-by-step guidelines for CA Exam Form Correction.

Step 1: Log in to your student account

Visit the ICAI Exam Portal at http://icaiexam.icai.org. Access your account using your registration number and password.

Step 2: Access the correction window

On the dashboard, click on the link that says “Click here for corrections in ICAI application.” Fill in the necessary details, such as Barcode Number (for Physical Submitted Exam Form) or Control Number (for Online Submitted Exam Form), Roll Number, Personal Identification Number (PIN), and the Security Code displayed on the screen.

Step 3: Verify the fields

Candidates can now edit, modify, or delete details in the application form. Verify information such as Examination, Barcode/Control Number, Registration Number, Name, Group Applied, Medium Opted, Region of Examination Centre, Exam Centre, ICAI Examination Centre Code, and CA Exams Centre Zone. If everything is correct, click on "No change required." If changes are needed due to errors, click on "Changes required."

Step 4: Correct errors

Candidates can make changes in three fields: Medium Preferred (choose between Hindi or English), Exam Center (opt for a different city or zone), and Group (select from first/second group to both groups or vice versa). Additionally, candidates can change their syllabus from old to new if they have converted from the old scheme to the new one.

Step 5: Cross-check fields

Review the edited fields in the preview section. Corrections will be displayed in red. After cross-checking, enter the one-time password (OTP) received on your registered mobile number and email ID after clicking on the final submit.

Step 6: Submit a handwritten application

Upload a scanned image of a handwritten application, written in running handwriting (not all CAPS) and signed by the candidate. The scanned image should be in jpg format and not exceed 200KB. If the exam is in Hindi, the application must be in Hindi; otherwise, it should be in English. Include the Roll Number, Name, Registration Number, and Month/Year of Exam, and sign the document before scanning. Note: Changes are considered based on the portal submission, not the content of the scanned application.

Step 7: Finally submit the application form

After the final submission, take a printout of the correction slip by clicking on ‘click here to print page.’ Note that changes cannot be made once the final submission is completed. ICAI no longer offers Correction Window-II with fees; candidates can rectify their original exams only once without any payment.
