According to an official notification by ICAI, the deadline for online applications to become observers at exam centers for the CA Exams May/June 2024 has been extended to March 15, 2024. Eligible members who haven't applied yet can now do so by the new deadline.

ICAI Hiring Observers for CA Exams 2024

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is currently accepting applications from qualified members who are interested in serving as observers for the upcoming CA Exams scheduled to take place in May and June. As an observer, your primary responsibility will involve overseeing the process of collecting the question paper packets from the bank and ensuring their safe distribution to the students on the day of the examination. Additionally, you will be required to remain present at the designated branch of the bank or examination center until the conclusion of the examination. Following the completion of each exam, it will be necessary for you to diligently prepare and submit a detailed report in the prescribed format on a daily basis via the designated portal.

ICAI Observers Job Role

The main duty of an ICAI observer is to carefully gather examination question paper packets from the designated bank and safely distribute them to the students on the day of the scheduled exam. Moreover, the role demands that the assigned individuals remain present at the designated bank or examination center until the end of the examination process. Post-examination, observers are further required to diligently compile and submit a detailed report on a daily basis, adhering to the prescribed format, via the designated portal promptly following the conclusion of each exam session.

ICAI Observers Pay

ICAI Observers is an opportunity that rewards you with an honorarium of ₹ 3,000 per day per session, along with convenient conveyance reimbursement. In 'A' class cities, you can receive ₹ 350 daily, while in other cities, it's ₹ 250. 2. Neither the candidate nor any of their relatives or dependents should be planning to take the Chartered Accountants examinations scheduled for May or June 2024.
