The Institute of Company Secretaries of India made an important announcement. They said that certain students wouldn't have to take the CSEET exams. Now, there are two ways a student can be exempt from these exams. If a student meets either of these conditions, they don't need to take the CSEET exams. Instead, they can directly join the Company Secretary Course executive program. To be eligible for the CSEET (Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test), you must meet these criteria:- Hold a graduate degree from a recognized university or institution in India or abroad, with at least 50% marks.
- Hold a postgraduate degree from a recognized university or institution in India or abroad, regardless of discipline.
Is CSEET Mandatory For Graduates?
If you've been wondering if CSEET is a must for graduates, the answer is no. If you've completed your graduation from a recognized university and paid the necessary fees, you're good to go without taking CSEET. Now, what's the deal with CSEET exemption fees for graduates? Well, according to the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, it's Rs. 5000 when you register for the CS Executive Programme. Regarding CSEET exemption rules in 2022, the Institute has the authority to grant or remove exemptions beyond graduates and postgraduates. Before February 2020, graduates and postgraduates were exempt. However, later, the ICSI changed the rules, making everyone take the CSEET exams. But then, in June 2021, they reversed it, allowing graduates and postgraduates to skip CSEET and go directly to the CS executive exams.CSEET Direct Entry
There's an option called the Direct Entry Route, which lets students skip the CSEET Exams and directly register for the CS Executive Course. With this route, you only have to take two levels of CS Exams : CS Executive and CS Professional . Registering is all done online.
