The combined scores from all sections will be used to create the CSIR NET 2023 Merit List. Ranking positions will be assigned to all candidates who successfully qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship. Several important details about the CSIR NET Merit List are explained below:

• Distinct Merit Lists: Two separate merit lists will be created, segregating candidates who qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-NET) and Lectureship (LS-NET).
• Merit List Details : The merit list will include information such as the candidate's Roll Number, achieved Rank, and secured Marks.
• Basis of Merit List: The compilation of the merit list will be based on candidates' performance in the entrance examination.
• Eligibility for JRF and Lectureship : Candidates who qualify for JRF are also eligible for lectureship if they meet the specified eligibility criteria. Refer to CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria for more information.
• Lectureship and JRF Recruitment: Qualifying for Lectureship make candidates eligible to be considered for Junior Research Fellowship recruitment, although not for the regular JRF-NET Fellowship.
• Fellowship Allocation: Successful JRF (NET) candidates will receive fellowships from either CSIR or UGC, depending on their respective affiliations.
• Fellowship Start Date : The fellowship for successful candidates will commence on July 1, 2023, and will be valid for two years, facilitating their enrollment in the CSIR Scheme.

• The Council holds no responsibility for any printing errors in the result.
• Separate letters will not be issued; the Fellowship will be effective from July 1, 2023.
• Successful candidates should send attested/self-attested photocopies of the following documents for verification and the issuance of the Qualifying Certificate:
• X class certificate as proof of date of birth
• Degree/provisional degree of qualifying exam/M.Sc. or equivalent degree
• Final mark sheet with the required percentage of marks
• Caste certificate, if applicable
• OBC candidates must provide their latest OBC caste certificate (Non-creamy layer)
• Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped candidates should submit a certificate as per Govt. of India rules
• Candidates under the Result Awaited (RA) category (M.Sc. or equivalent) need to submit the required documents after completing their requisite qualification.
