CUET 2025 Twice Admission Policy

CUET 2025 Twice Admission Policy : CUET has introduced an important change for the 2025 academic year. Six central universities in India will now offer admissions twice a year. Those six universities are Central University of Kerala, Central University of Punjab, Central University of Rajasthan, University of Hyderabad, Tezpur University and Nagaland University. This decision, approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), aims to make the admission process more flexible and help more students.

Benefits of CUET 2025 Twice Admission Policy

  • Two Admission Cycles: Universities can admit students in two periods: one in July-August and another in January-February. This gives students more chances to get into college.
  • Optional Participation: While the UGC encourages universities to adopt this policy, it is not mandatory. Each university can decide whether to offer one or both admission cycles based on their resources.
  • Use of CUET Scores: Scores from CUET-UG exam will be valid for both admission sessions. This means students can use their scores to apply for admission in both sessions.
  • Benefits for Students: This policy helps students who may miss the first admission cycle due to late board results or personal issues. It gives them another chance to apply, keeping them motivated.
  • Better Planning for Universities: The UGC believes that having two admission cycles will help universities plan better and use their resources more effectively throughout the year.
  • Applies to All Programs: The new admission system will work for undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs, giving students more options for advanced studies.
