• The maximum age on the date of enrollment should not exceed 21 years.

Air Force Agniveer Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill one of the following educational qualifications:

For Science Stream Candidates

1. 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English, securing at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.

2. Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, IT, etc.) with 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.

3. Two-year vocational course in Physics and Mathematics with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.

For Non-Science Stream Candidates

1. 10+2 in any stream, securing at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.

2. Two-year vocational course with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.

Air Force Agniveer Nationality

• Candidates must be citizens of India.

• Proof of nationality must be presented during document verification.

Air Force Agniveer Experience

The Air Force Agniveer Experience requirement for the Sports Quota mandates candidates to have represented India at the Junior or Senior level in international competitions recognized by the International Olympic Association (IOA).

Candidates can also qualify if they:

• Achieved at least 5th place in Junior National Competitions.

• Represented state or union territory in Senior National Competitions.

• Participated in All India Inter-University Championships or Khelo India National Competitions.

• Cricket candidates should have played All India Inter-University or BCCI-recognized trophies (U-19, U-23, Ranji Trophy, etc.).

• Shooting candidates must have International Medals/Participation or a National Ranking (NSCC) up to 50th place.

Only certificates issued by IOA-approved federations, Khelo India, or the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) will be considered valid.

Air Force Agniveer Physical Eligibility

The Air Force Agniveer Physical Eligibility requirements are stringent to ensure candidates can meet the demands of both sports and military duties.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Candidates must complete:

• 1.6 km run in 7 minutes.

• 10 push-ups in 1 minute.

• 10 sit-ups in 1 minute.

• 20 squats in 1 minute.

General Medical Standards

• Height: Minimum 152 cm.

• Weight: Proportionate to height and age.

• Chest: Minimum 77 cm with a 5 cm expansion.

• Hearing: Must be able to hear forced whispers from 6 meters.

• Vision: 6/12 correctable to 6/6; Myopia: -1.0D, Hypermetropia: +2.0D.

• Tattoos: Permanent tattoos are not allowed, except for those on the inner forearm or tribal tattoos.

Candidates with LASIK/PRK eye surgery will be declared medically unfit.

Air Force Agniveer Terms of Service & Benefits

The Agniveervayu (Sports) scheme offers a unique opportunity for young athletes to serve in the Indian Air Force while pursuing their passion for sports. Selected candidates will receive structured training, financial benefits, and career growth opportunities.

Service Duration

• Selected candidates will serve for 4 years as Agniveervayu (Sports).

• After 4 years, up to 25% of Agniveers may be absorbed into the regular Indian Air Force based on performance.

• First Year Pay: ₹30,000/month (₹21,000 in hand, ₹9,000 in savings).

• Fourth Year Pay: ₹40,000/month (₹28,000 in hand, ₹12,000 in savings).
