NID DAT Application Form 2027 Out - Apply Online, Registration, Dates, Fee and More

NID DAT Application Form 2027 for NID Admissions 2027-28 is available through the online application process. Candidates can submit their applications by 11:59 pm (midnight), 30 November 2026. The application form edit window will be available from 4 pm, 01 December 2026 to 11:59 pm (midnight), 03 December 2026. 

The DAT Prelims Admit Card will be available from 4 pm, 10 December 2026, and the DAT Prelims Exam is scheduled for Sunday, 20 December 2026. The DAT Prelims Result will be announced at 4 pm, 16 March 2027.

NID DAT Application Form 2027: Highlights

Candidates should complete the NID DAT 2027 Application through the official portal and ensure that all required details are entered correctly before submitting the form. The DAT Mains exam dates have not been announced yet and will be released by NID at a later stage. Candidates are advised to check the official website for updates regarding the NID DAT 2027 Mains schedule. 

All times mentioned in the NID Admissions Handbook are in IST. NID also reserves the right to modify or change the schedule due to unforeseen emergent circumstances.

Candidates interested in NID Admissions 2027-28 can complete the NID 2027 Application process through the official NID admission portal. The NID DAT 2027 Application Form is available online, and candidates must complete the NID 2027 Registration process, enter the required details, upload the prescribed documents, and pay the applicable application fee.

NID 2027 Application Start Date and Last Date

The Nid 2027 Application Start Date is 10 September 2026. Candidates can submit the online application form along with the prescribed application fee until 11:59 pm (midnight), 30 November 2026.

Therefore, the Nid Application Last Date 2027 and Nid Application Deadline 2027 are 11:59 pm (midnight), 30 November 2026.

Candidates should complete the Nid 2027 Online Registration and application process within the prescribed timeline. The application for DAT is the first stage of the admission process, and only candidates who successfully submit the application and satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria will be considered for DAT Prelims.

NID 2027 Registration: How to Apply

Candidates applying through Nid 2027 Apply Online must visit the official NID admissions website and complete the registration and application process. The application process is divided into the following steps.

Step 1: Read the Admissions Information

Before beginning the Nid 2027 Registration, candidates must read and familiarise themselves with the eligibility criteria, number of seats, test centres, reservation policy and other relevant admission information provided in the Admissions Handbook 2027-28. Candidates must confirm that they have read and agreed to the information.

The Design Aptitude Tests will be common for all NIDs.

Step 2: Signup and Registration

Candidates have to register or sign up online by selecting their Programme of Study, Nationality and Category. Registration must be completed only through the official NID admissions website.

Candidates must provide:

• A valid email address

• An active mobile number

An OTP will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number for validation. The following details cannot be changed at any stage:

• Name of the Candidate

• Programme Applied in

• Date of Birth

• Registered Email ID

• Registered Mobile Number

Candidates are advised to ensure that the registered email ID and mobile number remain active until 31 August 2027. They should also regularly check email and SMS communications from the Admissions Cell.

After registration, login credentials will be sent to the registered email address. Candidates can log in using their registered email ID, date of birth and password. If the password is forgotten, the Forgot Password option can be used to receive a new auto-generated password on the registered email ID.

Step 3: Fill the NID 2027 Application Form

After logging in, candidates need to proceed to Step 2–Application Form and fill in all the required details.

Candidates can use the Save & Proceed option to move to the next section. Alternatively, Save & Exit can be used to complete the application at a later time or date.

The details entered in the application form can be modified during the application edit window, except for:

• Programme Applied in

• Name of the Candidate

• Date of Birth

• Registered Mobile Number

• Registered Email ID

If a candidate changes the applied category during the edit window, the applicable additional application form fee has to be paid. No refund of excess fee will be made in case of a category change.

Step 4: Upload Photograph, Signature and Required Documents

Candidates need to upload the required photograph, signature and applicable certificates/documents.

After uploading all the necessary documents and completing the required details, candidates need to click ‘Save & Proceed’ to move to the next section for payment of the application fee. T 

Step 5: Pay the NID 2027 Application Fee

The NID DAT 2027 Application Form will be accepted only after the application fee has been paid successfully. Candidates who wish to complete the form at a later stage can click ‘Save and Exit’ after uploading the necessary documents and continue the application process later. 

The Nid Dat 2027 Application Fee varies according to the candidate category.

*The equivalent amount in Rupees of US$ will be rounded off to the higher Rs.100 at the time of announcement of admissions.

The application fee applies to all NIDs. The fee is neither refundable nor transferable. Bank transaction charges/convenience fees, as applicable, are not included in the application fee and have to be borne by the candidate.

Candidates will first be asked to verify their details before proceeding to payment. The application fee can be paid only through Debit/Credit Card and net banking.

Step 6: Print the Completed Application Form

After successful payment, candidates will be redirected to the Print section, where they can save and print a copy of the application form.

The application is considered complete only when the candidate can view/download/print the auto-generated application form.

Candidates should preserve the final application form for their records.

NID 2027 Application Correction

The Nid 2027 Application Correction facility will be available during the specified application edit window.

The correction window will open at 4 pm on 01 December 2026 and close at 11:59 pm (midnight) on 03 December 2026.

Candidates can modify the details entered in the application form during this period, except:

• Programme Applied in

• Name of the Candidate

• Date of Birth

• Registered Mobile Number

• Registered Email ID

Candidates changing their applied category must pay the applicable additional application fee. Excess fees will not be refunded.

After making changes, candidates must complete the final step and verify the updated information by printing the revised application form. If the application form is closed before all steps are completed, changes made to the applied category will not be saved or considered.

NID DAT 2027 Exam Pattern and Selection Process

The Design Aptitude Test is conducted in two stages:

1. DAT Prelims

2. DAT Mains

Candidates submit a single application form for both DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Only candidates who successfully submit the application and satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria will be considered for DAT Prelims. Shortlisting for DAT Mains will be based on DAT Prelims performance.
