How to Apply for NID DAT 2027 Online Application Process

Follow the steps below to apply for NID DAT 2027:

1. Go to the official admission portal at admissions.nid.edu.

2. Click on Sign Up / New Registration for B.Des or M.Des and enter your name, email address, mobile number, and date of birth.

3. Log in with your temporary credentials to fill out personal details, academic qualifications, and communication address.

4. Select your preferred test cities for DAT Prelims from the drop-down menu.

5. Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photo, signature, Class 10/12 mark sheets, and category certificate (if applicable) in JPG/JPEG/PDF formats.

6. Complete the fee payment using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

7. Download and save the final confirmation PDF for reference during admit card generation and counselling.

 NID DAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling out the online form, candidates must review the eligibility criteria outlined in the NID DAT 2027 notification PDF.

1. Educational Qualification

• For B.Des Course: Candidates must have passed or be appearing for Class 12 (10+2 standard) or equivalent in any stream (Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities) from a recognized board (CBSE, ICSE, IB, or State Boards).

• For M.Des Course: Candidates must hold a recognised 3-year or 4-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or a 4-year full-time Diploma in Design/Fine Arts/Applied Arts/Architecture.

2. Age Limit Standards (As on July 1, 2027)

• General & General-EWS Candidates: Born on or after July 1, 2006.

• OBC-NCL / SC / ST Candidates: Born on or after July 1, 2003 (3-year age relaxation).

• PwD Category Applicants: Born on or after July 1, 2001 (5-year age relaxation).
