NID Vijayawada: National Institute of Design (NID), Vijayawada or NID Andhra Pradesh is one of the seven NIDs of India. It was established in 2015 under the aegis of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. NID Vijayawada is the second autonomous multi-disciplinary design institute and is recognized as an Institute of Importance by the Government of India.
NID Vijayawada offers admission to B.Des courses in three specializations namely, Communication Design, Industrial Design, and Textile & Apparel Design based on marks obtained by the candidates in the NID DAT exam. NID Vijayawada Admission Process
National Institute of Design (NID), Vijayawada offers admission based on candidate's scores in the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT). The test includes two phases namely, Preliminary and Mains Examinations. The prelims is a subjective test, while mains is completely subjective. The final selection for B.Des course at NID Andhra Pradesh is done by calculating the weighted scores obtained by the candidate in both Prelims and Mains. Once candidates clear the NID DAT entrance test, they can proceed with the counselling process.
