NIFT Result 2025 Overview

The NIFT Result 2025 for both UG & PG programs was declared on 24th April 2025 declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official portals nift.ac.in and exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. The results will include scores from the General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT). Candidates can download their scorecards using their application number and date of birth. Following the result declaration, shortlisted candidates will move on to the next stage of the admission process, i. e., NIFT Situation Test and Personal Interview. NIFT offers admission across 19 campuses in India. The following table mentions the key aspects of the NIFT 2025 Result. 

NIFT 2025 Result Declaration Date & Time

The NIFT 2025 Final Result is expected to be declared in June 2025. The official updates indicate that the announcement could happen anytime now on the NTA’s result portal. Candidates should regularly check the official websites at exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT and nift.ac.in for the latest updates. To download the scorecard, they will need their application number and date of birth.

For CAT and GAT, the results were declared on 24th April 2025, later in the evening by NTA. NIFT is a national-level design entrance exam conducted by NTA for admission to UG and PG design courses across various NIFT campuses. It included the General Ability Test (GAT) for all courses and the Creative Ability Test (CAT) for B.Des and M.Des aspirants. 

The CAT is a subjective, pen-and-paper test designed to assess a candidate’s creativity, design ability, observation skills, and innovative use of color and illustration. The GAT is an objective, computer-based test that evaluates quantitative ability, communication skills, English comprehension, analytical ability, and general knowledge, and is mandatory for all NIFT programs.

What After NIFT 2025 Result?

After NIFT Result is declared for GAT & CAT, shortlisted candidates will then proceed to the next stage, which is the Situation Test for B.Des or Personal Interview for PG programs. Only those who qualify in the written exams and meet the cutoff will be eligible for these subsequent rounds. 

The Situation Test assesses candidates on their creativity, material handling, innovation, and problem-solving skills. For PG programs, Personal Interview evaluates a candidate's communication skills, subject knowledge, and suitability for the chosen design program. The final merit list and admission offers will be prepared by giving specific weightage to both the written tests and the Situation Test or Personal Interview.
