UPSC Application Form 2024: The online application for the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination started on February 14th, 2024, and closed on March 6th , 2024. The Union Public Service Commission releases the UPSC Application Form 2024 at upsconline.nic.in. The correction window for UPSC Application Form 2024 was available till March 13th, 2024.

Candidates who have successfully completed the registration process will be issued UPSC CSE admit cards for the prelims stage . The UPSC Application Form 2025 will be available from 22 January 2025 according to the UPSC 2025 Calendar.

The UPSC CSE 2024 registration process is now completed with the closing of UPSC Prelims Application Form 2024. The UPSC Apply Online 2024 process started on 14 February. Eligible candidates were required to apply for UPSC CSE by using upsconline.nic.in the portal before the last date. which was extended to March 6th from March 5th. The eligibility criteria for UPSC 2024 vacancy which stands at 1056 are as follows:

The UPSC 2024 exam date has been announced and prelims are all set to be held on 16 June 2024. The UPSC Apply Online 2024 process is as follows for future reference: Step 1: Go to the official website of UPSC at www.upsconline.nic.in to access the direct application link. Step 2: Candidates who are registering for the first time will be required to complete the ‘ UPSC One Time Registration ’. Be careful at this stage as candidates can edit the UPSC OTR form only once in a lifetime. Step 3 : For UPSC registration select the ‘New Registration’ option and provide basic information such as name, date of birth, mobile number, Email, parents name, etc. Step 4: To submit the UPSC registration form verify the information first and then click on the ‘I agree’ option indicating having read all details before submitting the form. Step 5: Now login by using the registration credentials sent by UPSC via mail and mobile number. This time select the ‘Already registered’ option at the portal Step 6: Select ‘Part 1 registration’ and proceed to provide eligibility details such as nationality, education, marital status, etc. Step 7: Now pay the application fee as per category and proceed to complete part 2 of the UPSC Application Form 2024. Step 8: U pload the required documents such as a photograph and signature in the UPSC form. Step 9: Select the exam centre and agree to the declaration of the UPSC application form. Step 10: Click on the ‘Final Submit’ option and download the UPSC form copy.

UPSC Application Fees 2024

The application fee payment is a crucial part of the UPSC Application Form 2024. The application fee for the UPSC 2024 exam is just 100 Rs. which can be paid in both offline and online mode. For offline fee submission, candidates need to submit fees by using Bank Callen, and for online mode the fee can be paid by using either Credit/DebitVisa//Master/RuPay Card and net banking. UPSC Application Form 2024 Instructions

The commission has mentioned certain important instructions in the official UPSC Notification 2024 that should be followed by all candidates without fail. The general instructions regarding UPSC Online Application Form 2024 are as follows:
  • Apply before the last date by using ‘upsconline.nic.in’ portal only.
  • Before starting the application, you must have your scanned photograph and signature ready in the .jpg format.
  • The size of files should be between 300 KB and 20 KB .
  • The Photo ID Card number (Aadhar Card/ Voter Card/PAN Card /Passport/ Driving License) they mention will be required in original at the UPSC exam centre.
  • Avoid submitting multiple applications except in exceptional cases.
  • If you submitted multiple applications then a higher RID shall be entertained by UPSC.

During submission of the UPSC application form for prelims candidates are required to upload their signature and photograph by scanning in the .JPG format. This year UPSC issued certain instructions regarding the photograph submission. Candidates were advised to follow the instructions to avoid their application being rejected by the authorities. Here are instructions for the photograph uploading stage as per the latest guidelines:
  • The Photograph should not be more than 10 days old from the UPSC Application Form Date 2024.
  • The name and the date on which the photograph was taken should be clearly mentioned on it.
  • The face of the candidate should occupy 3/4 part of the space in the photograph.
  • The photograph appearance should match at each stage of the UPSC exam process i.e. Prelims, mains, and interview.

The UPSC application form can be modified during the course of the correction window. This facility was available from 7 March to 13 March 2024 at the official application portal of the UPSC.
