Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited was established in October 1972 as an autonomous Public Sector Company under the Ministry of Mines. It is the country's premier mineral exploration agency, carrying out promotional exploration programmes funded by the Government of India as well as contractual exploration work for public sector, private sector, and state government clients.
Electrical post: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA).
Mechanical posts: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
The degree must be from an AICTE/UGC-approved institution; ODL (Open & Distance Learning) degrees are not accepted.
This recruitment is specifically for candidates who:
Cleared the written round of UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2024 in the Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline, and
Appeared for the UPSC ESE 2024 interview, but
Were not finally recommended for selection by UPSC.
Candidates who did not appear for UPSC ESE 2024, or who were finally recommended and selected, are not eligible for this route.
Maximum age of 28 years for UR category candidates, with age relaxation applicable to OBC/SC/ST/PwD candidates as per standard Government of India norms.
No prior work experience is required — this is a fresher-eligible opportunity for recent engineering graduates.
Selected candidates will be placed in the E-1 Grade with a pay scale of approximately Rs. 40,000 – Rs. 1,40,000 per month (IDA pay scale). As a Miniratna-I CPSE, MECL offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Candidate must have cleared the written round of UPSC ESE 2024 (Mechanical/Electrical).

Only candidates not recommended by UPSC for final selection are eligible to apply.
