GATE 2027 Registration Through DigiLocker: Some changes have been made in the GATE 2027 registration process. It is regarding the registration through DigiLocker for the GATE 2027 examination. What is DigiLocker?

DigiLocker is a digital document service provided by the Government of India. It is available as both a website and a mobile app.

What Will DigiLocker Verify?

Earlier, candidates had to enter personal details and upload documents manually.

For GATE 2027, DigiLocker will automatically verify these seven details:

• Date of Birth

• Mobile Number

• Email ID

• Profile Photo

• Address

• Verification ID (usually Aadhaar)

How to Create a DigiLocker Account

Candidates who do not have a DigiLocker account can follow these steps. Other documents such as a driving licence, voter ID, or passport can also be added to the DigiLocker account.

1. Visit the official GATE 2027 website.

2. Click on the DigiLocker registration option.

3. Select Register or Login.

4. Enter the mobile number.

5. Enter the OTP sent to the registered phone.

6. Enter the Aadhaar number.

7. Enter the OTP sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile number.

8. Create a 6-digit PIN.

9. The DigiLocker account will be ready for use.

Tips for Uploading the Photo

If DigiLocker asks for a photo, follow these tips:

• Use a mobile phone with a good camera.

• Take the photo in bright light.

• Do not wear glasses or goggles.

• Do not wear a cap or hat.

• Keep both ears clearly visible.

• Look straight at the camera.

Check the Aadhaar-Linked Mobile Number

Many candidates face problems because the Aadhaar-linked mobile number is old or no longer active.

If the registered phone number has changed, it should be updated before GATE 2027 registration.

The Aadhaar-linked mobile number can be updated online where available or by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Centre.

Without the correct mobile number, OTP verification for DigiLocker may not be possible.
