The Career Development Centre of the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, manages placement activities and keeps liaisons with various industrial groups and research organizations to receive job offers. It works in close coordination with a student placement committee comprising students chosen from various departments. The department supports every stage of the placement process by arranging pre-placement talks, written tests, group discussions, interviews, etc. The NIT Rourkela M.Tech Placements Process involves the specific phases outlined below:
The Institute's Career Development Centre sends an invitation to companies and organizations along with relevant information about the institute and departments.
The companies are subsequently required to fill out the Job Notification Form on the institute's portal specifying the designation, package, and details of placements.
The company visits the campus on specific dates to organize the Pre-Placement Talk for interested and eligible students appearing for the recruitment process to give them an insight into the company and the job profile the company is recruiting for.
The companies will conduct the written test/online test, interview, group discussion or skill test to select the suitable students.
