GATE 2025

GATE 2025: The GATE 2025 was conducted successfully by the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee on 1, 2, 15 and 16 February 2025 for 30 various branches. Following the conclusion of the examination, the authorities have released the GATE Answer Key 2025 on 27 Feb. Moreover, the GATE Result 2025 along with cut off has been made public on 19 March.

GATE Result 2025 Out

On March 19, IIT Roorkee has released the GATE Result 2025 at GOAPS Portal, goaps.iitr.ac.in. Candidates who took the GATE 2025 examination on 1, 2, 15 & 16 February 2025 can access their results now. In order to view the GATE 2025 Result, candidates need to provide their enrollment ID and password.

As the result is live, the authorities will also announce the GATE Cut Off 2025 soon. Those who meet the cut off will be able to download their GATE scorecard 2025 on 28 March onwards. Candidates must follow the direct link shared here to download the GATE Result 2025 successfully.

GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the as GATE Eligibility Criteria 2025 outlined here:

  1. Educational Qualifications: Candidates must be currently in their 3rd year or have completed an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Technology, Science and humanities such as B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Sc (Research), and relevant master's degrees like M.Sc or MCA.

  2. Age Limit: There are no specific age limit requirements for GATE 2025. The exam allows candidates of any age group to apply as long as they meet the educational qualifications.

  3. Nationality: The GATE exam is open to candidates from India and several other countries, including Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

GATE 2025 Syllabus

The GATE Syllabus covers a wide range of subjects from Core Specialization in addition to General Aptitude and Engineering Mathematics. The GATE Syllabus 2025 has been officially published by the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee for all the 30 subjects on its official website @gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

GATE 2025 Cut Off

The GATE Cut Off serves as the crucial benchmark that determines the minimum qualifying marks required for candidates to pass the examination and is influenced by several factors such as difficulty level of the exam, total number of test takers, previous year trends, etc.

Following the release of results, the authorities published the GATE Cut Off for all the branches following reservation norms. GATE 2025 Counselling

The GATE 2025 counselling process is being administered and managed by COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) for admissions to IITs and CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech) for admissions to NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded institutions. The counselling process starts after the release of results to offer admission to various reputed colleges across the country:

  • COAP Process:

    1. Candidates seeking admission to IITs must register on the COAP portal.

    2. COAP allows candidates to view admission offers from participating IITs based on their GATE scores. They can accept, retain, or reject these offers.

  • CCMT Process:

    1. Candidates looking for admission into NITs and IIITs must register on the CCMT portal.

    2. The CCMT process includes multiple rounds of seat allotment based on candidates' preferences, GATE scores, and available seats. The registration fee for CCMT is INR 3,000 (or INR 2,500 for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

GATE Two-Paper Combinations 2025

The GATE examination allows candidates to select two papers, enhancing their opportunities for postgraduate admissions and jobs in PSUs. GATE 2025 Admit Card

The GATE 2025 Admit Card link was activated on 7th January 2025 on GOAPS Portal, goaps.iitr.ac.in. Candidates who have registered for GATE 2025 within the stipulated timeline can access their admit cards on the official website. The admit card serves as the crucial document to attend the examination which includes the personal information of candidates as well as exam details.

To access the GATE 2025 Admit Card from the official web portal, candidates must follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the GATE 2025 Official Website, i.e., gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the ‘GATE 2025 Admit Card’ Link.

Step 3: Enter the enrollment ID, registered email ID, password, and captcha to login.

Step 4: Once done, click “Submit,” and the GATE 2025 Admit Card will be displayed.

Step 5: Click on “Download” to save it for future reference.

GATE 2025 Application

The GATE application process is exclusively online-based conducted on GOAPS portal. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are allowed to submit their online applications within the specific timeframe. 

For GATE 2025, the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee accepted the online applications from 28th August 2024 to 3rd October 2024 without late fee and the applications with late fee were accepted till Oct 11, 2024.

GATE 2025 Application Procedure

The GATE 2025 application process involves several key steps that candidates must follow to successfully register for the examination. Here’s the step-wise procedure for your ease:

  1. Register on GOAPS: Visit the official website of GATE 2025 at gate2025.iitr.ac.in and register using a valid email and mobile number to generate an Enrollment ID and password.

  2. Login to GOAPS: Insert your Enrollment ID and password to log in to the GOAPS portal.

  3. Fill Out the Application Form: Enter personal details, academic qualifications, select the GATE paper name, and choose examination cities

  4. Upload Required Documents: Upload the scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and any necessary certificates (i.e. category certificate).

  5. Pay Application Fee: Proceed to pay online application fee through available online methods (net banking, credit card, debit card).

  6. Preview and Submit: Review all information entered to the application form carefully, accept the declaration, and submit the application form.

  7. Print the Application Form: After successfully submitting the application form, candidates must take a printout and keep it safe for future reference.

GATE Correction Window 2025

The GATE Correction Window facility allows candidates to modify the details entered in the online application form after the closing date. For GATE 2025, IIT Roorkee has activated the correction window on 30th October 2024 at its official web portal, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The correction window allows candidates to modify their name, date of birth, category, paper name, second paper, exam city, etc.

In order to edit the GATE Application Form 2025, candidates need to login in on the portal using their email ID/Username and password.
