JEE Main 2025 exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical value questions (NVQs). Each section, including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, will follow this marking scheme, contributing to a total of 300 marks for Paper 1.

  • For each correct answer, candidates will receive 4 marks.
  • For each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score.
  • There is no penalty for questions that are unanswered or marked for review; these will receive 0 marks.
