JEE Main Exam Analysis 2023 for Jan 24 Shift 1
The experts rated the paper as being in the easy to moderate range. While Chemistry was at an easy to moderate level, Physics was the simplest part. The level of mathematics was average. While math was calculative and chemistry was memory-based, students were however able to finish the paper within the allotted time. It would be a good idea to prepare for this paper by taking a number of mock exams.
Physics: All of the topics were covered in the questions. Students were assessed on the basic level of concept application. There were more numerical problems than theoretical ones. Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Optics, Magnetism, Modern Physics, and other chapters were the subjects of the questions. Students who have completed the XI and XII syllabuses in full and shown sufficient problem-solving skills in similar practice exams will do well on this examination.
Chemistry: The section on chemistry followed expectations. Students noticed that there was less physical content than there was in Organic and Inorganic Chemistry. Every question in the Organic Chemistry syllabus was asked as an MCQ. The complete paper had its basis in NCERT. A large number of questions have been put on GOC, Aldehydes, Ketones, Biomolecules, Chemistry in Daily Life, and Aldehydes. The key to doing well on this examination is to thoroughly study the NCERT books, solve the NCERT examples, and practice via mock tests.
Mathematics: The portion on mathematics was a bit long. The majority of the paper consisted of five or six Calculus problems. At least five problems came from the algebra, two from coordinate geometry, and two or three from trigonometry. This paper includes representations of chapters on vectors, probability, and 3-D geometry.
