Proof of Age: Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent certificate/mark sheet with the mentioned date of birth.
Educational Qualification: Degree in law/certificate from a university recognized under the Bar Council of India.
Experience Certificate: (For Public Prosecutor only) Certificate stating that the candidate has practiced at the Bar in criminal cases for a minimum of 7 years, issued by the head of organization/department, with details of duties, duration undertaken
Caste Certificate: For candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC in the prescribed format.
Disability Certificate: For PwBD candidates, issued by a competent medical authority.
Certificate of Equivalent Qualifications: If applicable, official order/letter indicating equivalence.

Candidates must hold a degree in law from a recognized university. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) may relax this qualification for candidates otherwise well qualified, giving written reasons.
Age Limit:
Unreserved (UR) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 30 years
Other Backward Classes (OBC): 33 years
Scheduled Castes (SC): 35 years

Candidates must have a degree in law from a recognized university.
Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of practice at the Bar, conducting criminal cases. UPSC may relax this experience requirement for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates if sufficient candidates with the requisite experience are not available.
Age Limit:
Unreserved (UR) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 35 years
Other Backward Classes (OBC): 38 years
Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST): 40 years
