List of Documents Required for MH CET Law 2025 Counselling

List of Documents Required for MH CET Law 2025 Counselling has been released by the Common Entrance Test Cell Maharashtra (CET Cell Maharashtra). Candidates can download the complete list on the official website at cetcell.mahacet.org. The MH CET Law 2025 counselling registration window has been extended until 18 July 2025 for 3-year and 5-year LLB courses. 

The E-Scrutiny date of uploaded documents and filled-in application forms by the E-verification team has also been extended till 22 July 2025. The list of documents required for MH CET Law 2025 counselling includes candidates’ domicile certificate, online CET application form, scorecard, and more. Candidates must organise all the documents before appearing for the MH CET Law 2025 counselling.

Complete List of Documents Required for MH CET Law 2025 Counselling

The list of documents required for MH CET Law 2025 counselling according to the candidates’ type is mentioned below. Candidates must upload these documents in the prescribed format and size for counselling registration. The authorities verify these documents. After successful verification, candidates proceed to the next step of the admission process. 

1. Candidates of Maharashtra State and Outside (All India Candidature), including J&K Migrant Candidates

  • Class 10th and 12th Marksheet
  • Graduation Marksheet
  • Online CET application form 2025
  • MH CET Law Scorecard 2025
  • Domicile Certificate, OR, 
  • Birth Certificate having details of place of birth, OR, 
  • School leaving certificate with details of place of birth, OR, 
  • Date of Birth certificate, community, and nativity

2. Type-A Candidates of Maharashtra State

  • Maharashtra State Domicile Certificate of Candidates
  • Birth Certificate with the place of birth mentioned as Maharashtra
  • School leaving certificate with the place of birth to be Maharashtra
  • Nativity, community, and date of birth certificate

3. Type-B Candidates of Maharashtra State

  • Candidates’ Domicile Certificate
  • Domicile certificate of the mother and father of the candidates. It must be mentioned that the candidate is domiciled in Maharashtra State. 

4. Type-C Candidates of Maharashtra State

  • Candidates must upload the employer certificate in Proforma-A. This must state that the candidate’s father or mother, who is a Central Government/GoI undertaking employee, is presently posted in/outside Maharashtra. 

5. Type-D Candidates of Maharashtra State

  • Candidates have to upload the employer certificate in Proforma B-1. The certificate must state that the mother or father of the respective candidates is a Maharashtra State Government or a Maharashtra State Government undertaking employee, OR, 
  • Retired employees must upload the documentary evidence stating the place of settlement in Proforma-B2. 

6. Type-E Candidates Belonging to the Maharashtra-Karnataka Disputed Border Area

  • Certificate in Proforma-G1 stating that the candidate belongs to the disputed border area. 
  • Certificate in Proforma G-2 mentioning Marathi as the mother tongue of the candidate.

7. Backwards Class Candidates from the SC/ST category of Maharashtra State only

  • Caste Certificate
  • Tribe Validity/Caste Certificate

8. Backwards Class Candidates from Maharashtra State only belonging to VJ/ DT/ NT(A)/ NT(B)/ NT(C)/ NT(D)/ OBC/ SBC/ SEBC

  • Tribe validity/Caste Certificate
  • Non-creamy layer certificate valid up to 31 March 2025

9. EWS Candidates from Maharashtra State Only

  • EWS Eligibility Certificate

10. Ex-Servicemen (Def-1)

  • Proforma-C Defence Service Certificate, and, 
  • Domicile certificate of the candidate’s father or mother, whichever is an ex-serviceman/woman. They must be domiciled in Maharashtra. 

11. Active Domicile Defence Candidates (Def-2 )

  • Proforma-C Defence service certificate, And, 
  • Domicile certificate of the mother/father, who is an active defence service person, domiciled in the Maharashtra state. 

12. Active non-domicile defence candidates (Def-3)

  • Proforma-C Defence service certificate, And
  • Employer certificate in Proforma-D, mentioning that the candidate’s mother/father is presently posted in Maharashtra and is an active defence service person, Or,  
  • Employer certificate in Proforma-E, outlining that the candidate’s mother or father, whoever is an active defence person, has retained the family in his/her previous place of posting in Maharashtra. 

13. PWD (Person with Disabilities)

  • PWD medical certificate approved by the All India Institute/Medical Board, established by the Central Government. The authoritative body must be competent to certify the disability. A medical certificate issued by the Civil Surgeon of the District Hospital is also acceptable, And, 
  • Candidate’s domicile certificate from Maharashtra State
  • Date of birth certificate mentioning Maharashtra as the place of birth, Or, 
  • School leaving certificate mentioning the place of birth as Maharashtra, Or, 

14. Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Candidates

  • Certificate in Proforma-J stating the area of posting in case of defence or Government servants, OR,  
  • Those staying in the refugee camp must have a certificate of stay in Proforma-K, OR, 
  • Candidates belonging to displaced families must upload the certificate stating the same in Proforma-L.

15. Candidates Belonging to Minority Communities

  • Candidates’ domicile certificate belonging to Maharashtra State, And,
  • Candidates’ declaration in the religious minority community/respective linguistic in Proforma “O”, Or
  • Leaving Certificate in case of mother tongue/religion

16. Certificate for Orphan Candidates

  • Orphan Certificate Issued by Concerned Authority

MH CET Law 2025 Counselling

MH CET law counselling 2025 is conducted in online mode through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Separate counselling is done for the 3-year and 5-year LLB programs by the MH CET. The counselling registration window has been extended till 18 July 2025. Before the last date of counselling registration, candidates need to upload the list of documents necessary for MH CET Law 2025 counselling. After each round, candidates receive a provisional allotment letter if allotted a seat. Vacant seats are eventually filled at the institutional level.
