What is the difference between GMAT and GMAT focus edition?

The GMAT Focus Edition is a new and improved version of the traditional GMAT exam. Here are the main differences between the two: Content Coverage:
  • The GMAT Focus Edition focuses on skills important for business schools and candidates, making preparation more efficient and the exam shorter.
  • It excludes Sentence Correction and Geometry questions, and the essay is no longer part of the test.
  • The Verbal section in the Focus edition includes only Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning questions.

  • The GMAT Focus Edition does not have pure math Data Sufficiency questions, which are present in the standard GMAT.

Test Structure:
  • The GMAT Focus is shorter than the current GMAT, consisting of only three sections and being nearly an hour shorter.
  • Test-takers can bookmark and change answers to up to 3 questions per section in the GMAT Focus, a feature not allowed in the current version of the GMAT.
