IIM Amritsar Admission Criteria 2025-27: IIM Amritsar has released the admission criteria and selection process for its MBA 2025-27 batch. Every year IIM Amritsar finalizes the admission criteria and weights assigned to each parameter before the CAT exam . The IIM Amritsar admission criteria 2025 aims to simplify the application process for candidates.
- IIM Amritsar Admission process is divided into two stages. In the first stage, the admission committee will shortlist candidates for PI round based on their CAT 2024 scores. After conducting the interview, deserving candidates will be selected for MBA admissions.
IIM Amritsar Admission Criteria 2025-27
To be eligible for the IIM Amritsar MBA program, applicants must meet the following criteria:- Educational Qualifications : General category candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks. However, reserved category candidates should receive 45% marks to apply for the IIM Amritsar MBA program.
- CGPA Conversion Standards : For institutions that use a CGPA grading system, IIM Amritsar will calculate equivalent percentages based on the norms of the respective university.
- Final Year Students : Candidates in the final year of their undergraduate program are also eligible to apply. However, these candidates must provide the degree passing certificate and other necessary documents within the specified timeframe to confirm their eligibility.
- CAT Scores: To be eligible for the IIM Amritsar MBA program, candidates must attempt the CAT 2024 exam and have a valid scorecard.

IIM Amritsar admission process will start after the release of the CAT 2024 result . The IIM Amritsar admission process for the 2025-27 MBA program consists of two stages. During the admission process, candidates are assessed across multiple parameters, including CAT performance, academic qualification, work experience, and more. The admissions committee of IIM Amritsar reviews criteria and assigns weightage to various parameters to ensure a fair selection process. For the initial stage of IIM Amritsar's MBA admission process, all candidates who participate in the CAT 2024 exam are allowed to complete the application process. Academic Performance and Work Experience
Besides considering CAT scores, IIM Amritsar also takes into account candidates’ academic qualifications to ensure fairness in the selection process. A candidate’s Class 10 and Class 12 percentages are standardized by dividing each score by the 90th percentile score from their respective boards. Final Selection for IIM Amritsar MBA Admissions 2025
In the final selection stage, shortlisted candidates need to undergo the Personal Interview (PI). Here are the important points candidates must remember regarding IIM Amritsar admission criteria 2025:- Final Selection and Admission Offers : The final list of selected candidates will be announced by the end of May 2025, after which admission will be extended to successful applicants.
- Work Experience Weightage : Candidates' work experience will contribute 10% in the final evaluation process. However, candidates with less than 6 months of working experience will not be considered by IIM Amritsar.
- Offer Acceptance : Selected candidates must confirm their admission by submitting a completed offer acceptance form and a refundable fee of INR 50,000.
- Waiting List : A limited number of candidates marked on the waiting list will receive the offer letter. These offers will be made only if the initially selected candidates don’t confirm their admission within the specified deadline.
