Registration

Karnataka PGCET 2024 counselling registration is the first step in the counselling process. It requires candidates to enter their details and choose their preferred colleges. For this, candidates must visit the official website of KEA.

Document Verification

To begin document verification, candidates need to visit the nearest helpline centre of KEA. During the document verification round, candidates need to carry the original and xerox copies of their documents to the helpline centre. It’s crucial to confirm the date and time of one’s scheduled verification before arriving. After successful verification, candidates will receive an acknowledgment card and verification slip, which they must retain throughout the admission process.

Choice Filling

In this phase, candidates need to select their preferred college and course from the available option. These are categorised by course, college, and discipline. Candidates can fill in as many choices as they wish. To increase one’s chances of securing a seat, it’s advisable to enter multiple options. After the final submission of the options, candidates must make sure to print a copy of their choices.

Mock Allotment

Once candidates fill in their choices for PGCET counselling, the authorities will conduct a mock allotment. The seat allotment gives candidates a rough idea of their stand in the allocation process. The mock allotment results will be displayed on the KEA website, and candidates will have two days to review and modify their choices based on the mock allotment outcome.

Final Seat Allotment

The final seat allocation is based on candidates’ merit and the choices they filled in. The seat allotment will follow the government’s reservation policy. After the allotment process, candidates will be required to confirm their seat by reporting to the allocated institution.

Reporting to the Allotted Institute

Once candidates are allotted a seat, they must visit the respective institution within the stipulated time. The institution will issue a provisional seat allotment letter, which they can download from the Karnataka PGCET portal. When visiting the institute, candidates must carry all original and xerox documents with the required fee amount.
