2. इस कविता से आपको तोप के विषय में क्या जानकारी मिलती है?

उत्तर:- इस कविता में तोप के विषय में जानकारी मिलती है कि यह अंग्रेज़ों के समय की तोप है। 1857 में उसका प्रयोग शक्तिशाली हथियार के रुप में किया गया था। अनगिनत शूरवीरों को मार गिराया गया था क्योंकि इसका प्रयोग अंग्रेज़ों द्वारा हुआ था। आखिरकार अब इस तोप को मुँह बन्द करना पड़ा। अब इससे कोई नहीं डरता। अब यह केवल खिलौना मात्र है। चिड़िया इस पर अपना घोंसला बना रही है, उसमें बच्चे खेलते हैं। यह तोप हमें बताती है कि कोई कितना शक्तिशाली क्यों न हो, एक-न-एक दिन उसे धराशायी होना ही पड़ता है।

उत्तर:- कंपनी बाग में रखी तोप यह शिक्षा देती है कि अत्याचारी शक्ति चाहे कितनी भी बड़ी क्यों न हो, पर उसका अंत अवश्य होता है। मानव विरोध के सामने उसे हार माननी पड़ती है।किस प्रकार अंग्रेज़ों ने अत्याचार किए पर अंत में भारत को छोड़ना ही पड़ा। यह तोप हमें बताती है कि कोई कितना शक्तिशाली क्यों न हो, एक-न-एक दिन उसे धराशायी होना ही पड़ता है। तोप की तरह चुप होना ही पड़ता है।

4. कविता में तोप को दो बार चमकाने की बात की गई है। ये दो अवसर कौन-से होंगे?

उत्तर:- यह तोप हमारी विजय और आज़ादी के प्रतीक के रूप में एक महत्त्व की वस्तु बन गई है। भारत की स्वतंत्रता के प्रतीक चिह्न दो बड़े त्योहार 15 अगस्त और 26 जनवरी गणतंत्र दिवस है। इन दोनों अवसरों पर तोप को चमकाकर कंपनी बाग को सजाया जाता है। इससे शहीद वीरों की याद दिलाई जाती है ताकि लोगों के मन में राष्ट्रीयता की भावना को बढ़ावा मिले।
