SSC CGL Re-Exam 2025 Technical Glitches: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced a re-examination for certain candidates of the SSC CGL Tier-I 2025, following multiple reports of technical glitches and disruptions across exam centres. The SSC CGL Re-Exam 2025 is officially scheduled for October 14, 2025, and the admit card on October 9, 2025, as stated on the SSC website ssc.gov.in.
However, what was expected to be a limited re-exam for affected candidates has now caused widespread confusion. Many students who appeared successfully in their original exam are also receiving re-exam city slips and admit cards, leaving them uncertain about whether they must appear again or if their previous attempt remains valid.
The SSC CGL Re-Exam 2025 announcement followed several candidates' reports of server crashes, login errors, and disruptions during their original exam sessions. In response, SSC decided to hold a re-exam for candidates affected by technical or administrative issues.
However, since the Commission has not published a public list of affected candidates, many aspirants are unsure whether their names have been officially included. The re-exam admit cards have been uploaded on the respective SSC regional websites, adding to the uncertainty.
Social media platforms have seen a surge of posts from SSC CGL aspirants sharing screenshots of their re-exam city slips. Several claim they faced no technical issues in their original exam but still received fresh re-exam notifications.
“I gave my paper properly, there were no technical glitches at my centre. Still, I got a re-exam slip. Does this mean my earlier attempt is cancelled?” — one candidate wrote on X.
If you have received a SSC CGL re-exam slip despite having completed your SSC CGL Tier-I exam without any technical glitch, don’t panic, but don’t ignore it either.
Immediately verify your status on ssc.gov.in and raise a clarification through the official grievance system if needed. Taking timely action before October 14, 2025, will ensure your candidature remains safe and unaffected.
As per SSC’s official statement, the SSC CGL re-exam 2025 is intended only for candidates affected by technical or administrative reasons. The Commission has assured that no disadvantage will be caused to unaffected candidates.
However, SSC has not released clarification regarding why some unaffected candidates have also received re-exam notifications. Aspirants are now being urged to verify their individual status directly through SSC’s regional portals or by checking their registered email and SMS alerts.
