Steps to Book IELTS Exam Dates in May 2025

Candidate can book their IELTS exam online or offline at the nearest IDP branch. Follow the steps below carefully to complete your IELTS registration:

• Step 1: Visit the IELTS official website: ieltsidpindia.com to start your test booking. 

• Step 2: Create your profile using a valid email ID.

• Step 3: Log in to your official account and select the option ‘Register for Test’ available on the header section. 

• Step 4: Select a preferred test mode from the computer-delivered IELTS/ paper-based (IELTS, IELTS for UKVI, or Life Skills).

• Step 5: Choose a test type: Academic or General Training for IELTS, IELTS for UKVI, A1 and B1 for Life Skills.

• Step 6: Choose a preferred IELTS test centre from the list and click on “Book Now” to proceed with the booking. Candidates are generally advised to choose the nearest IELTS test centre to them to minimize any inconvenience. • Step 9: To complete the IELTS registration process, candidates must upload a clear and scanned colour copy of their passport for verification. (Applicants will be required to carry the original copy on the IELTS test day for entry to the examination center.)

• Step 10: For IELTS Academic, candidates must choose any five universities abroad to send their IELTS Test Report Form after the result declaration.    

• Step 11: Review all the given information carefully to avoid any mistakes. After careful review, submit the IELTS application form. 

• Step 12: Proceed to pay the IELTS test fee. The IELTS exam fees in India is INR 18,000 for both Academic and General Training.
