• Age Limit: Minimum age is 21 years as of 01.08.2025. The maximum age varies by category:

• General (Men): 37 years

• Backward Classes & Extremely Backward Classes (both genders) and General (Women): 40 years

• Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (both genders): 42 years

• Age relaxations apply for government servants, persons with benchmark disabilities, and ex-servicemen under specified conditions.

The BPSC AEDO 2025 Syllabus consists of three papers that aim to test a candidate's overall attitude, language skills, and general awareness. The written exam is an objective exam where each right answer carries a mark and wrong answer carries a negative marking of one-third of the total mark.

The Syllabus consists:

• General Hindi: Basic grammar, vocabulary, sentences, comprehension and usage.

• General English: Grammar, comprehension, word formation, and vocabulary.

• General Studies: Including current affairs, history, geography, Indian polity, economy, general science, and socio-economic issues that relate to Bihar.
