UPSC Application Form 2025 Last Date

The UPSC Application Form 2025 process has officially begun on January 22, 2025. Candidates can apply online through the official UPSC website ' www.upsconline.gov.in' . The process to complete the UPSC Online Form 2025 consists of four stages:
  1. Part I (OTR Profile)
  2. Part II (Application Form)
  3. Part III (DAF)
  4. Part IV (Fees, Photograph, Signature, & Examination Centre Selection).
The online applications (Part I, Part II, Part III, and Part IV) can be filled out until February 21, 2025, at 18:00 Hrs. Also, candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their applications once submitted.

Requirements for Completing the UPSC Online Form 2025

Candidates who wish to appear for the UPSC CSE 2025 exam can apply through the online application form, which consists of four stages. The steps involved in filling out the UPSC Application Form 2025 are as follows:

Step 1: Create One-Time Registration (OTR) Profile

Before candidates begin filling out the form, it is essential to complete the UPSC One Time Registration (OTR) process.  New candidates must click on 'New Registration,' while other candidates can directly access the application form by the 'Login' process.
The steps to complete the UPSC OTR stage are:
    1. Visit the UPSC Website: Go to 'upsconline.gov.in'.
    2. Register: Click on the One-Time Registration link.
    3. Fill in Personal Information: Provide details such as name, date of birth, and contact information.
    4. Verification: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number for verification.
    5. Profile Creation: Once verified, your OTR profile will be created, allowing you to log in for future applications.

Step 2: Fill Out the Application Form

This part involves filling out the specific application form for the CSE. Steps to complete this stage include:
    1. Log In: Use your OTR credentials to log into the UPSC portal.
    2. Fill in Details: Complete the remaining details of the personal details section and proceed to provide educational qualifications and contact information.
    3. UPSC Mains Info: Fill out details like UPSC Mains exam centre, Optional subject, medium selected for the written exam, and Compulsory Indian Language.
    4. Attempts: Specify the number of attempts and provide graduation details.
    5. Review Info: Following the input of these details, candidates should review the information provided and make any necessary edits to the application at this stage.

Step 3: Complete Detailed Application Form (DAF)

This section is usually required for candidates who qualify for the Mains exam and includes more specific information related to educational background and preferences. However, this year there are certain changes:
    1. Access DAF: After completing the second part, proceed to fill out the DAF.
    2. Provide Additional Information: This may include details about service preferences for the Civil Services Examination and other relevant data.
    3. Submit: Upon reviewing, click ‘Submit’ to finalize basic registration. At this point, the candidate’s Part III of registration is considered complete.

Step 4: Fees, Document Upload, and Examination Centre Selection 

This final step is aimed finalize your application by completing payment and uploading the necessary documents. The process includes:
  1. Pay Application Fee: Pay the required fee (Rs 100 for general candidates; no fee for SC/ST/SC/ST/Female/PWD candidates) using online banking or credit/debit cards.
  2. Upload Documents: The size limit is 20 KB to 300 KB and includes:
    1. Photograph: A recent passport-sized photograph in the specified format.
    2. Signature: Your clear signature image as per guidelines.
  3. Verification ID: Provide details of one Photo ID Card and upload other required documents (if any) as per the guidelines in the notification.
  4. Select Examination Centre: Choose your preferred examination center from the provided list.
Once all steps are completed, review the UPSC Online Form 2025 one last time before submitting it. A correction window will be available from February 19 to February 25, 2025, during which limited changes can be made.
