SIDBI Eligibility Criteria 2025

SIDBI has officially released the SIDBI Eligibility Criteria 2025 along with the detailed advertisement. To be eligible for this SIDBI Grade A Exam, you need to meet certain requirements, just like any other banking exam. 

Limitations and Relaxations on the criteria are provided by the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) as per the rules and regulations. 

SIDBI Grade A Educational Qualification

The educational qualifications needed as per the SIDBI Eligibility for Grade A 2025 for Assistant Manager posts in the General Stream are provided here. 

1. Applicants should have at least 60% marks (or 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) in a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or Engineering.

2. Those holding professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Certified Management Accountant (CMA/ICWA), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are also eligible.

3. Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Law or Engineering from a recognized university or institution, with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD), can also apply.

4. MBA/ PGDM [in Any Discipline (the course must be of full-time 2 years)] / from a University/ Institution recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) / Govt. of India/ approved by Govt. regulatory bodies.

Experience Required

Minimum of two years’ experience in credit management, specifically in MSME, corporate lending, or providing loans for trading and small business purposes.

OR

Applicants should have at least two years of core experience in any one of these areas:"

• Entities dealing in Investment Banking / Merchant Banking registered with SEBI

• Entities dealing in Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) registered with SEBI

• Asset Reconstruction Companies (ARCs) registered with the RBI

• Subsidiary of Scheduled Commercial Banks dealing in the MSME segment

• Project management (viz. administration and implementation of projects/ Schemes of national importance) with consultancy firms of national stature having experience of consulting & project management in a similar line for more than 10 years, and should have specific experience of consulting/ Project management, Government project implementation / Govt. Project management / Digital project related to lending / Consultancy for the Govt. Projects.

SIDBI Grade B Educational Qualification

The educational qualifications for the SIDBI Grade B (Manager) 2025 vary by stream. Below are the requirements as per the latest notification:

SIDBI Age Limit 2025

The age limit of requirements for SIDBI Recruitment 2025 (Grade A and B) as of July 14, 2025, is as follows:

Grade A (Assistant Manager): Minimum age is 21 years, and maximum age is 30 years. Candidates must be born between 14th July 1995 and 15th July 2004 (both dates inclusive).

Grade B (Manager): Minimum age is 25 years and maximum age is 33 years. Candidates must be born between July 14, 1992 and July 15, 2000 (both dates inclusive)

SIDBI Grade A and B Nationality

A candidate must be either 

(i) a citizen of India or 

(ii) a subject of Nepal or 

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or 

(iv) a Tibetan refugee (who came over to India before 1st January 1962) to permanently settle in India; or 

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
