OPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2024
To be considered for the OPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment in 2024, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:- Educational Qualification : A Master's Degree in the relevant subject from an Indian or foreign university with a minimum of 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
- Relaxation for Reserved Categories : For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), and Persons with Disability (PWD) categories, the minimum required percentage of marks is reduced to 50%.
- National Eligibility Test (NET) : Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professor (Stage-1) or possess a Ph.D. in the relevant subject from an Indian or foreign university.
- Age Limit: As of 15th May 2024, a candidate should not be older than 45 or younger than 21, which means they must have been born between April 17, 1979, and April 16, 2003. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates and by 10 years for Persons with Disabilities having 40% or more impairment.
- Candidates belonging to both Persons with Disabilities and SC/ST/SEBC categories can avail a cumulative age relaxation of 15 years, with 10 years for the disability and 5 years for the SC/ST/SEBC category.
