CEED Exam 2026: Exam Date, Admit Card, Syllabus & Registration Last Date

CEED Exam 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, published the official notification for the CEED 2026 exam on 1st October 2025 on its website ceed.iitb.ac.in. The registration process opened on 1st October 2025 at 5:00 PM, and eligible candidates have been able to submit their applications through the official website. 

The CEED 2026 admit cards were released on 2nd January 2026, and candidates must download them to appear for the exam. The CEED 2026 exam will be conducted by IIT Bombay on 18th January 2026. Registered candidates can log in using their credentials to access and download their hall ticket. CEED exam 2026 is a national-level entrance exam for admission to PG design courses such as MDes and PhD at premier design colleges across India.

CEED Admit Card 2026 (Released)

The CEED 2026 admit card has been released by IIT Bombay on January 2, 2026 and is available for download from the official CEED portal at ceed.iitb.ac.in. Candidates who completed their registration can log in using their registered credentials to access and download the hall ticket. It is mandatory for aspirants to carry the printed admit card along with a valid photo ID to the examination centre, as entry without this document will not be permitted. After downloading, candidates should carefully verify all details on the admit card and, if any discrepancies are found, they can request corrections on the official website until January 8, 2026. The CEED 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on January 18, 2026.

CEED Exam 2026 – Overview

CEED stands for Common Entrance Examination for Design. It is conducted once a year by IIT Bombay for admission to PG design courses at prominent design institutions. CEED exam 2026 is designed to assess a candidate’s aptitude for design, visual perception, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

CEED Application Form 2026 & Registration Last Date

CEED application form 2026 has been released on 1st October 2025 on the official website at ceed.iitb.ac.in. For CEED exam 2026 registration, candidates need to visit the official website, fill in their details like name, contact information, academic qualifications, and upload the necessary documents such as a scanned photograph and signature. CEED application form 2026 last date on October 31, 2025. Final submission is done after paying the CEED exam 2026 fees as per the candidate’s category. 

CEED Eligibility Criteria 2026

IIT Bombay has laid down certain guidelines that candidates must meet before applying for the CEED exam 2026. CEED eligibility criteria 2026 are outlined below. 

• Aspirants must have done a graduate/postgraduate/diploma degree with a minimum of 3 years after class 12th, OR,  
• Candidates appearing for their final exam must have completed their degree in the above programs by July 2026, OR, 
• Aspirants must have completed their GD Arts diploma program (10+5 level) by July 2026. 
• There is no maximum limit for the number of attempts. 
• IIT Bombay has no guidelines for age limitations. There is no age limit for candidates to appear for the CEED entrance exam. 

CEED 2026 Exam Cities

The CEED 2026 exam will be conducted in the following cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh/Mohali, Coimbatore, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hubballi (Hubli), Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Panaji, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Visakhapatnam. During the online registration process, candidates are required to select three cities in order of preference.

A request for changes to the city will not be considered once the registration form has been submitted. Applicants will be allocated to their second or third preference city if a city may be removed from the final list if a significant number of applicants are not available there. The UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee (UCIC) maintains the authority to designate a city that the candidate may not have selected, add a new city, or remove an existing one.

CEED Exam Pattern 2026

CEED exam pattern 2026 includes a detailed structure of two distinctive parts, namely Part A and Part B. Part A is a computer-based test having objective questions such as Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). These types of questions are framed to evaluate candidates on their visual and spatial ability, analytical reasoning, and design sensitivity. Part B is a pen-and-paper mode test to assess skills in design, drawing, creativity, and problem identification through subjective questions. The total exam duration is 3 hours. CEED Syllabus 2026 (Part A & Part B)

CEED 2026 syllabus includes topics that assess not only creative aptitude but also practical design skills, analytical abilities, and design awareness. CEED 2026 syllabus is divided into two parts, Part A and Part B. Part A includes visualization and spatial reasoning, observation, and design sensitivity, observation and design sensitivity, practical and scientific knowledge, while Part B focuses on drawing abilities, creative problem-solving, using sketches, and written responses. CEED Result 2026 & Scorecard

CEED 2026 results will be declared on March 04, 2026, on the official CEED portal. The result will include the candidate’s score, rank, and qualification status. Qualified candidates will be shortlisted for admission or interviews at participating institutes. CEED scores are valid for one year and are used for admission into M.Des and PhD programs. Candidates can download their scorecard for future reference.
