Another student noted the paper's lengthiness and encountered printing errors, causing delays. Approximately 8,000 candidates participated in the CEED 2020 examination. Feedback from test-takers suggests that the question difficulty level was lower compared to previous years. The majority of students who appeared for the CEED 2021 exam described it as ranging from easy to moderate in difficulty. The question paper resembled previous years', with Part B featuring straightforward questions and ample time provided to complete the paper.

CEED Exam Analysis 2019

The CEED 2019 paper, in general, maintained a comparable difficulty level to the previous year's paper and was relatively uncomplicated. While the breadth of covered topics was anticipated, there were variations in the types of questions posed.

CEED Exam Analysis 2018

Part A comprised five sections, collectively worth 100 marks, while Part B was a drawing test with eight questions. Questions 1 to 5 were optional, each representing a design discipline. Students were required to choose one from these five questions, with each carrying 50 marks. The subsequent three questions, numbered 6, 7, and 8, were mandatory, with weights of 20, 20, and 10 marks, respectively. Hence, students needed to answer a total of four questions out of the eight provided.

CEED Exam Analysis 2017

Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) attracted a penalty of 0.6 marks for incorrect responses, while unanswered questions did not affect scores. Unlike the previous year, there was no negative marking for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions this year. Overall, the paper posed a higher level of difficulty, particularly with lengthy branch-specific questions compared to previous years. Part A presented challenging aptitude questions, while Part B featured even more demanding concept-building and sketching tasks. Many candidates anticipated full-length sketching questions worth 50 marks and had extensively prepared for them. However, they were disappointed to find that these questions only carried 20 marks each and provided a choice of two options.

CEED Exam Analysis 2016

In Part B, candidates encountered mandatory questions totaling 50 marks, alongside an additional 50-mark question chosen from a selection of four. The structure of compulsory questions differed slightly from the previous year. Notably, 30 marks were allotted to memory drawing, followed by 20 marks for idea generation, and 10 marks for story writing. Regarding the optional 50-mark question, the format mirrored that of the previous year, allowing candidates to select one question from four options, each representing a distinct branch of design: product design, animation, visual communication, and interaction design.
