NID Assam Admission 2025: The National Institute of Design, Jorhat, known as NID Assam, is a renowned design institute in India. Established in 2019, it is an autonomous entity within the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). Admission to NID Assam is based on the candidates’ performance in the Design Aptitude Test (DAT), followed by counselling and document verification.

NID Assam Overview 2025

NID Assam offers a 4-year full-time Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program with specializations in Industrial Design, Communication Design, and Textile & Apparel Design. NID Assam Admission Process 2025

For admission to NID Assam, candidates need to first fill the NID application form available at www.admissions.nid.edu. Candidates have to appear for the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT), which is conducted in two stages, i.e., DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. After clearing both stages of the DAT, shortlisted candidates are invited for counselling and document verification. Final seat allotment is based on merit and preferences. The final admission is confirmed upon payment of the course fee and submission of required documents.
