NID Exam Pattern for M.Des Prelims 2025

The NID M.Des Prelims 2025 exam is the first stage of the selection process for the Master of Design program. It consists of two parts: an objective-type questions and a design-related subjective section. The exam is conducted offline in English and has a duration of 2.5 hours. The NID exam 2023 was moderately difficult. The general aptitude section was moderately difficult, and the design-based questions were quite challenging. The general aptitude section covered topics related to GK, Textiles, and Reasoning. Some tricky questions were asked in the diagram and pictorial sections.

NID Exam Analysis 2022

The NID 2022 exam included 26 questions, out of which 22 were MCQs and 4 were subjective questions. The overall difficulty level was moderate. The drawing section was a bit challenging and the questions were based on perspective. Moreover, candidates were asked to draw a kingfisher through 3 slides. The General Knowledge section consisted of questions related to Padma Shree Awards and vaccines.

NID Exam Analysis 2020

There were a total of 21 questions based on Aptitude, and most of them were from Logical reasoning section. There was also some delay in the drawing paper of about 50 minutes, according to some students. There were no questions on GK, while the Creative drawing had 6 questions.   • Candidates are required to draw a fork, a spoon that was put together at the handle.
  • Images of strokes like Caligraphy strokes and flat brush strokes were given, and the candidates were required to distinguish between them.
  • The candidates were asked to draw the front view of a picture of the side view. Pictures of a dead old man and a dog barking towards a thief were given to the candidates.
  • The candidates were given to name the instrument that Annapurna plays.
  • There was a shape-based question- Rotate the vase and identify the core of the shape.
