NID Exam Dates 2025: NID Second Round Seat Allotment 2025 for MDes began from today, i.e., 29 May 2025. The deadline to confirm the seat, pay the fees, and upload the mandatory documents is 3 June 2025. For BDes, candidates have to confirm their seats, pay the fees, and upload their documents by 30 May 2025. The BDes seat allotment process for Round 2 commenced on 27 May 2025. 

The National Institute of Design (NID) released the Provisional Offer Letter for M.Des Round 1 admissions 2025 on 20 May 2025. Candidates who have been allotted seats can download their letters from the official website. 

The DAT Prelims were conducted on January 5, 2025, for both B.Des and M.Des programs. The B.Des DAT Mains exam was held between 26 April 2025 and 04 May 2025, while the M.Des DAT Mains took place from 03 March 2025 to 06 April 2025. The results for M.Des were declared on 06 May 2025, and the B.Des DAT Mains result is scheduled for 16 May 2025.

NID Exam 2025 Overview

The NID Exam 2025 is a national-level entrance test conducted by the National Institute of Design for admission to B.Des and M.Des courses at various NID participating institutes. The exam is designed to assess a candidate’s creativity, design aptitude, and problem-solving skills. NID Exam includes two stages namely, DAT Prelims and Mains. The final result of NID DAT 2025 will be prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

Currently, the B.Des course has 425 seats, while the M.Des course offers 347 seats. B.Des is available at the following 5 campuses - NID Ahmedabad, NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Madhya Pradesh, and NID Assam. NID Exam Dates 2025

The NID DAT Prelims 2025 is scheduled for 5th January 2025. The exam is conducted in paper-and-pencil/pen mode. The NID application form 2025 is open from 3rd September 2024 to 3rd December 2024. How to Apply for NID Exam 2025?

The procedure for applying for the NID exam involves four stages:

• Online registration: Register for the exam by entering your email ID, mobile number, etc.
• Completing the application form: Enter your personal details, including academic, personal, and contact details.
• Uploading necessary documents: Candidates must upload the scanned copies of essential documents, including photographs, signature, and academic documents in the prescribed format.
• Submitting the application fee: The application fee must be paid online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

To fill out the NID Online Registration Form 2025, you need to have successfully completed the final examination of 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized board (AISSE/ICSE/CBSE).

NID Exam 2025 Admit Card Dates

The National Institute of Design entrance examination is divided into two stages: the written paper (NID DAT Prelims), followed by a studio test and an interview round (NID DAT Mains). The NID Admit Card is released separately for both the prelims and main examinations. Candidates can download the NID DAT admit card from 24th December 2024 to 5th January 2025. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website only through online mode. To download the call letter, you will need to provide your Email ID and date of birth.

NID Result Dates 2025

The results of the entrance test conducted by the National Institute of Design will be announced separately for B.Des and M.Des. NID DAT Mains. Results are presented in the form of a scorecard on the official website. NID BDes Mains Result 2025 will be announced on 16 May 2025, at around 4 PM. Candidates who appeared for the BDes DAT Mains exam can check their results online at the official NID admissions portal using their login credentials.

How to check the NID Final Result 2025?

The final results for the B. Des and M. Des programs of NID 2025 will be published once the 2025 NID exam dates have concluded. To view the results online, simply access the official portal and log in using your credentials. The process is detailed as follows:

1. Go to the official website and find the NID result link.
2. Provide your email address and date of birth.
3. Click on the Submit button.
4. Download your NID Entrance Exam Score Report.

It's important to highlight that the final outcomes for both B.Des and M.Des programs will be determined by considering the performance in both DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

NID DAT BDes Admission Dates

The National Institute of Design (NID) DAT 2025 admission process for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program is conducted in two stages: the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. The application window opened on September 3, 2024, and closed on December 6, 2024. The DAT Prelims exam was held on January 5, 2025, with results announced on April 1, 2025. The DAT Mains Studio Test for B.Des is scheduled for May 3, 2025, with the final results expected by May 16, 2025. Subsequent admission activities, including seat allotment and provisional offer letters, will continue through June 2025. 

NID DAT MDes Admission Schedule

The NID DAT MDes application window opened on 3 September 2024 and closed on 6 December 2024. The DAT Prelims exam was held on 5 January 2025. DAT Prelims results were announced on 17 February 2025, and the DAT Mains exam was conducted from 3 March 3 to 6 April 2025. The DAT Mains results were declared on 6 May 2025, followed by seat allotment and payment of token fees from 6 May to 7 May 2025. Provisional offer letters were issued on 20 May 2025, and the deadline for payment of remaining semester fees was 26 May 2025.
