RMO Eligibility Criteria
A student has to score at least 10% of the total marks of the IOQM 2025 paper in order to be eligible to appear for RMO 2025 but this is NOT the sole qualifying criterion.
Any student who has scored at least 10% of the total marks of the IOQM 2025 paper and enrolled for IOQM 2025 as a student of one of the classes 8,9,10,11 will be classified as a Category A student.
Any student who has scored at least 10% of the total marks of the IOQM 2025 paper and enrolled for IOQM 2025 as a student of class 12 will be classified as a Category B student.
The list of students who qualify for the RMO 2025 will be prepared according to the following rule: (a) From each region (list of regions: https://www.mtai.org.in/rmo-region-codes/)
i. the top 200 students from Category A will qualify for RMO 2025 along with those tied in the 200th position;
ii. the top 40 students from Category B will qualify for RMO 2025 along with those tied in the 40th position;
iii. 5 additional girl students from Category A irrespective of the number of girl students qualifying in the top 200 students from Category A, will qualify for RMO 2025 under Girls’ quota. (b) There is no separate Girls’ quota for Category B. A girl student of Category B can qualify for RMO 2025 from IOQM if and only if she is selected among the top 40 students in Category B
Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education has announced the RMO Exam Date 2025 on the official website https://olympiads.hbcse.tifr.res.in/. In view of the postponement of the IOQM 2025 examination in Regions 04 and 05 to September 28, 2025, it has been decided to reschedule the RMO 2025 examination in all regions from November 9, 2025, to November 16, 2025. This decision ensures that the RMO 2025 will be conducted simultaneously across all regions. A few days before the RMO 2025 exam date the RMO Admit Card 2025 will be issued to the IOQM qualifed candidates.

RMO Exam Pattern 2025
All students who are going to appear for the RMO 2025 must understand the RMO Exam Pattern 2025. The problems are designed to test analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mathematical creativity beyond standard school curricula
RMO Olympiad is a three-hour written test conducted by the HBCSE regional coordinators
There are going to be a total of 6 descriptive questions.
The answers should be descriptive in nature which may include theorems.

Only the students who have cleared the PRMO exam are eligible to appear in the RMO exam and only they can get the RMO Admit Card 2025. The RMO hall ticket is a valid document that the students have to carry to the hall test.
RMO 2025 Result
After the successful completion of the test RMO 2025 Result will be released through the login window, where students can access their scores and RMO exam details. Students have to enter roll numbers and date of birth to access the RMO results. The HBCSE RMO Result for Kendriya Vidyalaya and Navodaya Vidyalayas students are provided through respective JNVs and KVs.
RMO 2025 Cut Off
The HBCSE will release the RMO 2025 Cut Off along with the RMO 2025 Result after the completion of the olympiad exam.
Students who secure the RMO Cut Offmarks for the RMO 2025, are eligible to register for stage 3 i.e. INMO exam 2025. As per region-wise RMO Cut Off marks, 30 students of class 8th to 11th, 5 girl students and 6 students from 12th class are selected for INMO.
