CBSE Board Exam Twice a Year: Good news for students planning to sit for the 2024–25 CBSE Board Exam. For the exams starting in 2025, the Central Board of Secondary Education will administer the Board Exams for Classes 10 and 12 twice a year.
The first students to sit for multiple board exams will be those enrolled in classes X and XII in 2024–2025. These changes align with the goals of the National Education Policy 2020 as well as the Ministry of Education's new strategy. With the CBSE Board Exam 2025 scheduled twice a year, as opposed to the current once-a-year schedule, a new approach to assessing and teaching children will be implemented.CBSE Changes Exam Format for Classes 11, 12 From 2024–25
Beginning in 2024–2025, students in classes X and XII will be the first to take multiple board exams.
According to the official, there will be no requirement to take the twice-yearly board exams for Class X and XII under the new system. The goal of the new method is to ease students' anxiety about losing out on chances. A candidate may choose not to take further exams if they receive a passing grade on one set of tests.
The first CBSE Board Exam 2024–25 is expected to be administered in November–December 2024, and the second in February–March 2025, according to MoE sources. The ultimate results and merit will be decided by taking the best of two scores.
