JEE Advanced Exam Day Guidelines 2025 : JEE Advanced 2025 candidates can refer to this article for comprehensive exam day instructions. Official instructions for the exam day will be provided by IIT Kanpur along with the JEE Advanced admit card. These instructions will help applicants understand the crucial do's and don'ts for exam day. JEE Advanced 2025 will be conducted on May 25, 2025, in two shifts – Paper 1 (09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon) and Paper 2 (02:30 PM to 05:30 PM). Candidates must report to the exam centre by 07:00 AM. No entry will be allowed after the gate closes.

Candidates should bring their JEE Advanced 2025 admit card and a valid photo ID proof to enter the exam hall. Candidates will be denied entry in the absence of the required documents.
All documents and stationery required should be kept ready a day in advance to prevent any last-minute confusion or panic.
Arrive at the examination center at least 60 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on your admit card to avoid any delays.
IIT admissions solely rely on your hard work, commitment, and preparation. During the last week, work on revising your strong topics rather than initiating new things.
Try to remain calm and composed because stress may affect your health as well as exam performance. Prevent social interactions and follow proper hygiene and distancing.
Avoid eating outside food during the days immediately before the exam. Use healthy and hygienic meals to avoid falling sick.
Have a regular and healthy sleep pattern. A healthy mind that sleeps well is vital for maintaining focus and doing well on the day of the exam.
Prepare an exam kit containing your admit card, a black ball pen, and original photo ID. Having everything in one place will make you organized and confident on exam day.
Note: Photocopies or scanned copies of ID proofs will not be accepted.
As per the NTA JEE Advanced brochure, male and female candidates are recommended to avoid clothing with large buttons and to wear open footwear, such as chappals or sandals, to ensure hassle-free security checks.
Applicants must dress in plain light clothing without prominent buttons or metal decorations.
It is better to wear open shoes such as chappals or sandals rather than shoes.
Do not wear any religious or charm-related objects such as taweez.
The clothes should be comfortable and not suspicious during frisking.

following are allowed at the JEE Advanced 2025 test center:
A printed version of the JEE Advanced admit card downloaded from the official portal.
A genuine original photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar Card, School/College/Institute ID, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, or Notarized Certificate with photograph).
Only stationery items like pencils and pens are permitted for use.
Drink water can be brought by candidates in a clear bottle.
In order to provide a secure and equitable examination atmosphere, all applicants should refrain from carrying the following items into the examination hall. Any of these items in possession could result in disciplinary action or disqualification. The items listed below are prohibited:
Electronic devices like mobile phones, Bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pagers, smartwatches, fitness bands, calculators, iPads, tablets, digital or programmable equipment, electronic pens, or any other electronic device.
Log tables or books
Any study material
Geometry scales, pouches, boxes, pencil boxes
Any paper – written, blank, or printed, such as writing pads
Goggles, wallets, handbags
Jewellery and adornments, including nose pins, pendants, earrings, charms, chains, bracelets, hair pins, rings, necklaces, brooches, hair bands, badges
Clothes with full sleeves or oversized buttons
Note: There will be no facility to keep personal belongings at the centre.

Arrive at the Centre on Time: Applicants are required to report to the assigned examination center at or before 7:30 AM. It is essential to reach early to prevent any kind of delay as well as for smooth entry formalities. Reaching the center ahead of time will also enable hassle-free completion of frisking and biometric authentication. Biometric registration as well as verification will take place prior to the start of both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Please bear in mind that candidates are not permitted to go into the examination hall once the examination commences.
No late entry will be accepted on any account. Visit Your Centre in Advance: It is strongly advised to visit your exam center a day before the exam. This will enable you to get familiar with the place and path, lowering the chances of losing your way or being late on the day of the exam.

Read and adhere to the guidelines below carefully to facilitate a hitch-free and just examination process:
1. Obey the Invigilator's Instructions : You must follow all instructions given by the invigilator during the exam. The instructions are made to assist you and facilitate appropriate behavior during the examination.
2. Cooperate During Verification : Remain composed and cooperate with the staff during identity and document checks. Failure to cooperate may result in disqualification. Invigilators along with IIT officials will verify your identity.
3. Login Procedure : Once you're seated at your assigned computer, the screen will display your name, photograph, and JEE Advanced 2025 roll number. Carefully check that all the information shown on the screen is correct. Each candidate will be assigned a computer. To log in, enter your JEE Advanced 2025 Roll Number as the Login ID and your Date of Birth in ddmmyyyy format as the password. You will be allowed to log in and begin reading the exam instructions 20 minutes before the scheduled start of the paper. Carefully and calmly complete the process of logging in.
4. Submit Your Admit Card : The downloaded JEE Advanced 2025 admit card must be handed over to the invigilator for verification, after which it will be returned to you. Please keep it safe for future admission and counselling sessions.
5. Fingerprint Verification : You will be asked to leave your index fingerprint while carrying out the verification. The same fingerprint will be collected again during the JEE Advanced Counselling 2025. Make sure your hands are clean and do not apply oil or cream prior to the exam.
6. Scribble Pad : All rough work must be done only on the provided scribble pad at the exam center. This is for use as a rough pad only and will not be marked for assessment. No additional scribble pads will be distributed. Candidates must return the scribble pad to the invigilator after each paper.
Note: The computer will display questions in both English and Hindi. Do not tamper with any hardware or networking equipment at the exam centre under any circumstances.
7. Remain in the Examination Hall : Candidates are strictly not allowed to leave the examination hall before the scheduled end time of the paper. For Paper 1, you must remain seated until 12:00 PM, and for Paper 2, until 5:00 PM. Even if you complete the paper before time, you are required to stay in your seat quietly until the exam concludes. Under no circumstances is early departure from the hall allowed.
8. Both Papers need to be attended : Attending both Paper 1 and Paper 2 is compulsory for all candidates. If you show up only for Paper 1 and do not attend Paper 2, you will be declared absent. Responses of only candidates who appear for both papers will be marked.
9. No Malpractice : Any kind of impersonation or malpractice attempt will result in automatic disqualification from JEE Advanced 2025.
10. Navigation between questions and sections : You can move between the various sections of the paper as you want. When shifting between questions, you can avail the "Mark for Review & Next" facility provided in the question palette on the right-hand side of your screen. The palette will also show the status of each question by the use of certain symbols so that you can see which questions have been attempted, not attempted, or marked for review.
