What Is The Difference Between AIEEE And JEE? : The AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Exam) was replaced by JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) in 2013. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam was started in 2002 as the All India Engineering Entrance Exam for entrance to top colleges in India. What Is AIEEE?

What Is AIEEE? : The All India Engineering Entrance Examination was first introduced in the year 2002. It was started by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The exam was started to help candidates get admission to various top engineering NITs, IIITs, and IITs in India. However, to make the exam more effective and optimized, the exam was renamed JEE (Joint Entrance Exam). There were a total of 30 NITS and 5 IITs that accepted the entrance score. However, the Education Ministry of India changed the name of AIEEE to JEE and restructured the paper pattern.

What Is JEE?

The Joint Entrance Exam is a national exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is conducted to get admission to top IIT, NIIT, and IIIT engineering colleges. The JEE exam is conducted in two stages.
  • JEE Main : The first stage, or screening stage, was conducted in January and April. They assess the candidate's skills based on their knowledge and skills related to physics, Chemistry and mathematics. After clearing this exam candidates can get admission to top private, government and NITs in India.
  • JEE Advanced: This is one of the toughest examinations conducted in India. Candidates who qualify for the JEE Main with good marks are eligible for the exam. After clearing this exam, candidates can get admission to top IITs in India.
