TS LAWCET 2025

TS LAWCET 2025: Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) published the provisional answer key for the 3-year and 5-year LLB entrance exams on 11 June 2025 on the official website for all shifts. Candidates have the opportunity to raise objections against the provisional answer key till 13 June 2025. After resolving all the queries and objections, the authlorites will release the final answer key on 25 June 2025. 

TS LAWCET 2025 was scheduled for 6 June 2025, and was conducted online at designated centers across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Organized by Osmania University on behalf of TSCHE, the exam serves as the gateway for admission into 3-year and 5-year LLB programs offered by law colleges in the state.

TS LAWCET 2025 Exam Schedule

The TS LAWCET 2025 exam was scheduled for 6 June 2025. The 3-year LLB exam was held in two sessions: 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, while the 5-year LLB exam was scheduled from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM on the same day. TS LAWCET 2025 Overview

TS LAWCET 2025, or the Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test, is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education for admission into 3-year and 5-year LLB programs across law colleges in Telangana. The exam consists of 120 objective-type questions divided into three sections: General Knowledge & Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law, to be completed in 90 minutes in a computer-based format. TS LAWCET Application Form 2025

The TS LAWCET Application Form 2025 was released online on 1 March 2025, at the official website lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The application process involves registering with personal and academic details, paying the application fee, selecting an exam center, and uploading required documents.  Candidates could apply without a late fee until 30 April 2025. The authorities extended deadline to pay the application free with a late fees till 25 May 2025. There was an application form correction window between 20 to 25 May 2025 for candidates to edit their details. Once the window closed, no further changes coud be done. 

TS LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates fulfilling the following eligibility criteria for both 3-year and 5-year LLB programs were eligible for TS LAWCET registration. The detailed eligibility criteria is given below. 

For 3-Year LLB

  • Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) from a recognized university with at least 45% aggregate marks for General category, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST candidates.
  • Those with lower marks in graduation can qualify if they have the required percentage in post-graduation or B.Ed.
  • Final-year graduation students are also eligible to apply.
  • There is no age limit for the 3-year LLB course. 

For 5-Year LLB

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with at least 45% aggregate marks for General category, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST candidates.
  • Students appearing in their Class 12 final exams are also eligible.
  • No age limit applies for the 5-year LLB course. 

TS LAWCET Admit Card 2025

The TS LAWCET Admit Card 2025 was released online on 31 May 2025, by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) on the official website, lawcet.tgche.ac.in. Candidates who successfully registered for the exam can download their hall ticket using their registration number, mobile number, and date of birth. The admit card is a mandatory document and includes important details such as the candidate’s name, exam date and time, allotted test center, and exam day instructions. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID and recent passport-size photographs on the exam day. 

TS LAWCET Exam Pattern 2025

The TS LAWCET 2025 exam pattern features a single paper with 120 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 90 minutes, for both 3-year and 5-year LLB. The exam is divided into three sections: General Knowledge & Mental Ability (30 questions), Current Affairs (30 questions), and Aptitude for the Study of Law (60 questions). Each correct answer earns one mark, and there is no negative marking for incorrect responses. The test is conducted in a computer-based format and can be attempted in English, Telugu, or Urdu. 

TS LAWCET Syllabus 2025

The syllabus is designed to assess candidates’ awareness, analytical ability, and foundational understanding of law. It is divided into three main sections: General Knowledge & Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law, applicable to both 3-year and 5-year LLB aspirants. The General Knowledge & Mental Ability section covers topics such as Indian and international events, history, geography, and logical reasoning, while the Current Affairs section emphasizes recent national and international developments from the past year. The Aptitude for the Study of Law section focuses on basic legal awareness, principles, reasoning, and the Indian Constitution. 

TS LAWCET Answer Key 2025

The university announces the TS LAWCET answer key in two stages, i.e., provisional answer key and final answer key. The TS LAWCET 2025 preliminary answer key was officially released by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) on 11 June 2025, at lawcet.tgche.ac.in. Candidates can download the answer key, along with their response sheets and question paper, to cross-check their answers and estimate their scores. Those who find discrepancies can raise objections against the provisional key until 13 June 2025. The final answer key and results will be announced on 25 June 2025.

TS LAWCET Result 2025

The TS LAWCET Result 2025 will be announced online on 25 June 2025, by the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) for both 3-year and 5-year LLB programs. Candidates can download the scorecard from the official website by entering their hall ticket number and date of birth. The result will be prepared based on the final answer key, reflecting candidates’ marks, merit rank, qualifying status, and other important details. 

TS LAWCET Counselling 2025

TS LAWCET Counselling 2025 is expected to begin in August 2025 and will be conducted in multiple rounds. It involves steps such as registration, document verification, web options entry, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted college. Only those who complete the counselling registration and pay the prescribed fee of Rs 800 for General/OBC and Rs 500 for SC/ST will be eligible to participate in the process. Admission is granted based on merit rank and college preferences of the candidates. 

TS LAWCET Cutoff 2025

The TS LAWCET Cutoff 2025 refers to the minimum marks or rank required for admission into 3-year and 5-year LLB programs at participating law colleges in Telangana. While the qualifying mark for General and OBC candidates is 35% (42 out of 120), there is no minimum qualifying mark for SC/ST candidates. However, the actual admission cutoff is determined separately for each college and category after results are announced, based on factors like exam difficulty, seat availability, and candidate preferences.
