According to the Assam government's reservation regulations, candidates will be chosen for the Assam NEET MBBS/BDS Counselling in 2025 based on one of the following five categories: OC, SC, ST (Plains), ST (Hills), and PH reservations.
Candidates from the groups above are guaranteed seats. Unreserved applicants may apply for the remaining 60% of the available seats. Candidates requesting reservations in specific categories must submit the original paperwork proving their eligibility.

Online Registration: The first step is to visit the official DME Assam website and register as required by filling in their NEET roll number and personal details. Following this step, students will receive their login credentials.
Uploading Required Documents: Once the students receive their login credentials, they need to upload their scanned copies of crucial documents (NEET scorecard,10+2 Mark Sheet, category certificate, domicile certificate, etc.)
Filling & Locking Choices: Students will now need to fill the list of colleges they want to participate in. After filling in the choices, students must lock the choices before the last date. The locked choices cannot be changed.
Seat Allotment: After completing the choices, the seats will be allotted to students based on multiple factors which include their NEET score, their category, and the choices filled by them. The successful students are required to download their seat allotment letter given by the portal.
Reporting to the College: Finally, students need to report to the respective college as per their allotment letter along with their original documents for final admission.
