Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To gain access to this counselling process, students must meet some key requirements. These rules ensure a fair selection and admission process for everyone.

  • Students must have cleared the NEET UG exam with at least the minimum cutoff determined by NTA.
  • To be eligible for 85% State Quota seats, candidates must be domiciled in Maharashtra. This includes students who are born in Maharashtra or have lived there for a significant time, as per official rules.
  • You should have completed Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. Passing marks must be achieved in each subject.
  • The minimum age limit is 17 years by 31 December 2025. There is no upper age limit, allowing candidates of any age to apply once they meet the basic requirements.

Maharashtra MBBS Counselling Process 2025

The Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 follows a clear step-by-step method. Each step must be completed carefully:

  • Online Registration: After the NEET result is announced, visit the CET Cell website and complete the online Maharashtra NEET registration 2025 form. Enter your NEET roll number, personal details, contact information, category, and upload required documents.
  • Document Verification: After registering, you'll receive a date and time for verification. Visit the designated centre or upload your documents online (as announced). Documents checked include NEET admit card, scorecard, mark sheets, certificate, etc. Only verified candidates move to the next step.
  • Merit List Preparation: Based on NEET scores and verified documents, a merit list is prepared. This list ranks students in order of their score and is used for priority in seat allotment.
  • Choice Filling and Locking: Once the merit list is out, students log in to choose from available colleges and courses. Prioritize carefully because seat allocation heavily depends on these locked preferences.
  • Seat Allotment: The CET Cell will allocate seats based on NEET rank, choices filled, category, and seat availability. It will be released online for each counselling round.
  • Admission and Fee Payment: Once allotted, download the provisional allotment letter, print it, and report to the allotted college within the given time. Carry original documents and pay the admission fee to finalize the process.
  • Subsequent Rounds: If a seat remains vacant, additional rounds (Round 2, Mop-Up, Stray Vacancy) are held. Students not allotted earlier or who wish to move to a better college can participate again.
