National Standard Exam (NSE) is one of the most important science olympiads in India. It is conducted by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) and helps select students for international science olympiads. There are different subjects under NSE, like NSEP Exam (Physics), NSEB Exam (Biology), NSEC (Chemistry) and others.
Every year, thousands of students from across the country appear for the NSE 2025 Exam to test their skills and knowledge in science.
The NSE 2025 exam dates, syllabus, and IAPT registration details are announced on the official NSE India website. This exam is the first step towards representing India at the global level in the field of science.

For NSEB Exam, expect questions from cell biology, genetics, plant physiology, human physiology, and ecology.
Students who score well in NSE are selected for the Indian National Olympiad (INO). After that comes the Orientation-Cum-Selection Camp (OCSC), and finally, the best students represent India at the International Science Olympiads.
This path is followed in all subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, and Junior Science.
