Yes, the SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 exam has officially been postponed. Initially scheduled from 13th to 30th August 2025, the exam will now be conducted in the first week of September 2025, as confirmed by the Staff Selection Commission through an official notice.

Students' protest, along with the teachers, gained nationwide attention on the SSC controversy. This started after getting the news of the sudden cancellation of the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 exam 2025. The exam was expected to begin from 24th July to 1st August 2025. 

It happened due to the negligence of the authority that provided a tender to a blacklisted Eduequity company to conduct the SSC recruitment exam. Still, the students doubt whether the SSC CGL postponed or not. The questions are raised to the government and the commission. It seems like the efforts of the protestors are bringing some changes in the SSC recruitment and test-taking process. SSC CGL Exam Postponed Or Not

As per the latest notice released by SSC, the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam will no longer take place from 13th to 30th August 2025. Instead, it has been rescheduled for the first week of September 2025. Candidates are advised to monitor the official SSC website for updates on admit cards and exam centres.

The government has provided clear guidelines to the Delhi High Court to see the SSC controversy. The commission has started to work on providing the officer statements to the honourable court for the status of the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 exam and other SSC exams. On the other hand, SSC has issued a notice on 29th July 2025 mentioning JHT and Stenographer exam dates.
