CTET Full Form

CTET Full Form: The CTET Full Form is the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a bi-annual test which is administered by CBSE in July and December. The test is conducted to check a candidate’s eligibility to work as a primary teacher or elementary teacher. The candidates who qualify for the examination are awarded the CTET Certificate. As per the CTET Exam Pattern, there are two papers, paper 1 and paper 2 that have to be qualified by the candidate separately.

CTET Full Form

The CTET Full Form is the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a bi-annual eligibility test that is administered by CBSE to check a candidate’s overall eligibility to pursue a teaching career. The CTET exam is held for two levels, primary teacher (class 1 to 5) and upper primary teacher (class 6 to 8). Candidates who qualify for the CTET examination by securing the minimum qualifying marks become eligible for the CTET Certificate. The minimum eligibility criteria for the examination is qualifying for the class 12th examination.

CTET Full Form in Hindi

CTET का फुल फॉर्म केंद्रीय शिक्षक पात्रता परीक्षा है। यह एक द्वि-वार्षिक पात्रता परीक्षा है जिसे शिक्षण करियर बनाने के इच्छुक उम्मीदवार की समग्र योग्यता की जांच करने के लिए सीबीएसई द्वारा प्रशासित किया जाता है। CTET परीक्षा दो स्तरों, प्राथमिक शिक्षक (कक्षा 1 से 5) और उच्च प्राथमिक शिक्षक (कक्षा 6 से 8) के लिए आयोजित की जाती है। जो उम्मीदवार न्यूनतम योग्यता अंक हासिल करके सीटीईटी परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करते हैं, वे सीटीईटी प्रमाणपत्र के लिए पात्र हो जाते हैं। परीक्षा के लिए न्यूनतम पात्रता मानदंड कक्षा 12वीं की परीक्षा के लिए अर्हता प्राप्त करना है।

CTET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who fulfill the basic CTET Eligibility will be allowed to attempt the written examination. The competent authorities have prescribed the minimum age limit and educational qualification. Candidates who fail to qualify for the CTET eligibility will be debarred from the selection process.

CTET Age Limit

The board has not prescribed any CTET age limit to appear for the examination. This means candidates who fulfill the educational qualification are allowed to participate in the entrance exam.

CTET Educational Qualification

The CTET Educational Qualification has been prescribed for both Primary and Elementary teachers. The minimum educational qualification for the CTET is having qualified class 12th examination. Additionally, the candidates should also have a B.Ed degree from a recognised university. OR Senior Secondary securing a minimum of 45 per cent marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). OR Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and cleared or appearing in the final year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years duration). OR Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and cleared or appearing in the final year exam of Diploma in Education (2 years duration). OR Bachelor’s degree with a BEd degree.
Elementary Teacher (Class 6 to 8) Graduation degree and has passed or is appearing in the final year examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). OR Graduation degree with 50 per cent marks and has cleared or appearing in the final year exam of BEd. OR Graduation degree with 40 per cent marks and has cleared or appearing in the final year exam of BEd, according to NCTE regulations. OR Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and has cleared or appeared in final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education. OR Senior Secondary with 50 per cent marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed. OR Graduation degree with 50 per cent marks and has cleared or appeared in BEd program of 1-year duration.

CTET Selection Process

The CTET selection process is very simple and comprises a written examination which is qualifying in nature. There are two papers, papers 1 and 2 that have to be qualified by the candidate. The candidates have to qualify for the CTET written examination by securing marks more than the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for the certificates.

CTET Certificate

Candidates who qualify for the CTET 2024 will be awarded the CTET certificate. The certificate is issued in PDF format for the candidates who have qualified for the minimum marks. The CTET certificate is issued in online mode only and candidates have to download it from the official website of Digilocker. Earlier, the validity of the CTET Certificate was seven years whereas presently, the certificate is valid for a lifetime. The certificate makes the candidate eligible to practice as a teacher in any of the primary or secondary schools.
