• DAF 1: Also known as the UPSC Mains DAF , this form is filled out during the UPSC Mains application process after prelims results. It asks for basic personal and educational details.
• DAF 2: Popularly known as the UPSC Interview DAF, this form is filled out after the result of the Mains exam. It asks for more detailed information that helps the interview board understand your background, achievements, and interests.
