SEBI Grade A Selection Process 2025:  Candidates who are going to appear for SEBI Grade A Exam 2025 must know the selection process well before starting to prepare for it. SEBI Grade A exam stages 2025 comprise three phases. Phase 1 is conducted online and comprises two papers. Candidates shortlisted in Phase 1 are called for the Phase 2 exam. This stage is also conducted online and comprises two papers.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has released a short notification for 110 Assistant Manager (Grade A) posts across various streams on 8th October 2025.

The detailed notification is expected to be released on October 30, 2025. The online registration window opens on October 30, 2025, which is the same day the detailed advertisement and online application link will be published on the official SEBI website. The last date to apply is still to be announced and will be confirmed in the detailed notification on October 30, 2025.

SEBI Grade A Selection Process 2025

1. SEBI Grade A Prelims Exam: Phase 1 of SEBI Grade A recruitment process in detail consists of two papers (multiple choice questions of 100 marks each). Paper 1 is of 60 minutes duration, and Paper 2 is of 40 minutes duration.
2. SEBI Grade A Main Exam: The Main Examination is divided into two parts, i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is General English (descriptive test), and Paper 2 is specific to Stream. The duration of paper 1 is 60 minutes, and paper 2 is 40 minutes, excluding IT stream. The duration of IT Stream is 180 minutes.
3. SEBI Grade A Interview:  This is the final stage of the SEBI Grade A selection process. Only selected candidates will be invited for an interview. The candidate can choose to mode of conduction of the SEBI Grade A interview process 2025 in either Hindi or English. The weightage of the marks obtained in phase II is 85%, while the marks obtained in the interview are 15%.

SEBI Grade A Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

1. In Phase 1 - Paper 1 and Paper 2 must have a negative marking (1/4 marks).
2. There shall be a cut-off of a minimum of 30% for Paper 1 (no sectional cut-off shall be there) and a cut-off of a minimum of 40% for Paper 2 in Phase 1.
3. Candidates must secure a separate cut off in each paper, and 40% aggregate marks in the Phase 1 exam will be selected for Phase 2. The 1st stage will be of a qualifying nature and will not be considered for SEBI Grade A final selection process.

SEBI Grade A Mains Exam Pattern 2025

• Phase II paper 2 (except IT stream) should be negatively marked (1/4 of the marks given to the question).
• Paper 1 should be at least 30% and sectional. minimum 40% in Phase-II Paper 2.
• Candidates must secure a separate mark in each paper as mentioned in IV above and 50% of the combined cut-off marks in the Phase-II examination (1/3 for Paper 1). and 2/3 for Paper 2) will be selected for Phase 3.
• All question papers (for both stages except the English exam) will be set in bilingual Hindi and English.

• Negative Marking (1/4 of the marks awarded to the question) in Paper 1 and Paper 2.
• Paper 1 must have at least 30% cut-off (should not have strength), and Paper 2 must have at least 40% Step 1 cut-off .
• Candidates must secure separate sections in each paper as mentioned above and 40% aggregate marks. In the 1st stage exam, which is selected for the 2nd stage.

  Note: marks obtained in Stage 1 will only be used to select candidates for the Stage 2 examination process and will not be considered for the final selection of candidates.
